Rotars
Two months ago I brought my S500 in to check the brakes and I had 50% rear and 65% front. The service advisior told me I need to hard brake more (when you apply the brakes to stop on a dime) to knock of the break dust.

I did this and now the car vibrates when I stop.

I took it in and they say I warped the rotars and need to replace them and the front pads.

They want 500.00 and I want a better reason then this just happens. Any ideas?

two months doesn't seem like enough time to warp rotors...awfully fast. r u sure u didn't feel it b4 simply because u never braked that hard? it could be that with slow braking..u generated heat for a longer time...the old saying grandma riding on 'em brakes. over time, it just may have warped the rotors due to these long heat cycles. 500 just to change rotors is way too expensive...rotors should cost 200 a set, ...so 300 for labor on rotors?? why don't u change them urself...pads too.
