19s on a '99 w208 CLK320 cab - will they rub or not?
I'm planning on getting tires/wheels for my 99 w208 cab, however, I'm trying to find out if there's anyone out there who would know if I go staggered (19 x 8.5, 19 x 9.5):
1) will the rear tires rub?
2) will the rear tires rub if it's lowered 1.5" - 2"?
3) will the rear tires rub if there are passengers in the back?
4) will the rear tires rub if there are passengers and it's lowered? For that matter will it rub if it's not staggered at all?
Would also like to hear opinions on 18s vs 19s too. Thanks!

I don't know what the offset is but I guess the question is if I go with (19 x 8.5, 19 x 9.5), what should the offset (or tire) be so that it won't rub? I was planning on going with Brabus VI replicas (ACE).

ok , u listed the rim size 19 8.5 and 9.5 but u didnt list the tire size. Thats what will cause your rubbing
Anywyas, I had a set of the brabus 6 replicas in that size and width with 245/35/ and 275/30 rear tires. It did not rub at all but my car was not lower even with ppl in the back.
I sold those rims and now i have brabus 6 chrome ones that are 8.5 all around. They have 235/35/19 tires on them and I am lowering my car next week with h and r springs

Ahh.. tire sizes would be 235/25 front, 265/30 rear -- and actually, already put a deposit on these.
Any reason why you decided to go 8.5's all the way around instead of what you originally had?
I suppose I can put the deposit towards a different set up if I find out from you that 8.5s, lowered with h&r springs is the way to go (i.e. won't rub).
Would be great to see before and after shots.
