It was a phase. Back in 1999 when Dazz became the largest distributor in California for LowenHart, everyone and there mama was sporting them in SoCal. For some reason there 20 inch are known to crack or bend really easy if you hit a BIG pot hole at high speed. So I guess that was the reason why everyone moved on to something different.

Out with the old and in with the new ... simple as that. eURO rICE explained it pretty good. Lowenhart was the 'baller' wheel back in the day and everyone that could afford them (esp the 20+sizes had them ). These days ... they ain't so hat due to all the heavy competition in the industry.
