OK so you had these on a W124 and they will fit the 129 Chassis.. no spacers were used on the 124 right? if so that means they should fit few other chassis..
Am I right to assume that they will NOT clear Brembo GT setup? F50 Calipers with 355 F/ 328 Rotors, only because they are 18" instead of 19.... I mean they sort of should because if they are a " street " version of the DTM wheels , then the originals fit GIANT brakes.. any ideas , thoughts ? Thanks,
Max

Nice link but if the offsets of these wheels are unknown, there is no way of telling really except with pretty accurate physical measurement of the wheels , or of course .. trying them on. I highly doubt they will fit the SLK though, just my guess.

i didnt think they would fit but with such a beautiful set i had to ask.
he posted the offsets as being what was on the wheels, so i went with that info. its a shame i would take these in an instant!!!

THere is no way the rear offset is ET86...if it was truly ET86 rears they will never fit a 129 Chassis, unless you use some major spacers .. 30mm and above!!! I am just trying to see if the seller used spacers on the 129 or not .

Ok looks like I was wrong on a bunch of things.. I will need to update this... Seems the fronts are 8 inches and the rears are 9 inches according to the readings on the wheels. However when measured they are larger than that. The offsets look to be et 35 all around. I guess I was a bit too drunk to tell and read it as 86...instead of 35... So I guess they will fit almost any of these cars.. Your guess is as good as mine here comes the video...My bad for going off of memory instead of checking...

lots of cars
Mercedes changed the bolt size from W124 and R129 to the W123 and R170. Special bolts would be required to use W124 or R129 wheels safely on a W203, R170, or any more recent Benz.

If you're wondering about a conversion from 12 - 14mm you can have them inserted. I've done this to many s-class wheels when i wanted to put them on my w124. There are small inserts acceptable for 12mm and big inserts acceptable for 14mm. You will just need new conical bolts instead of the oem ball seat.
It's safe, period. Most wheel shops don't want to be liable, but in reality they are just sales men, not wheel fitment specialist. Whatever the book says is what they recommend.
Off topic....
You can find some of my wheel collection here if you think i don't know what im talking about..

Don't mean to sound like an a-hole but all that info is wrong. Even most wheel guys i know don't know what they are talking about. OEM wheels for the r170 and w203s came with 12mm ball seat bolts. I have r170 16" wheels on a w202 and even had w203 wheels on a w124....
I'm always glad to stand corrected when I'm wrong but other than typing W203 and R170 (12 mm bolt) when I should have typed W204 and R171 (14mm bolt) I think everything else I wrote is correct.
The point I was trying to communicate is owners shouldn't try to use 14mm ball seat bolts with wheels designed for 12mm ball seat bolts and vice versa.
Moving up or down in wheel bolt size requires special hardware, either special bolts (per my post) or inserts and cone seat bolts (per your post).
True?
