CLS 63 or 55 3-piece 20" wheels
I have for sale a ready to go set of four billet wheels for a CLS 63 or CLS 55. I suppose they will fit any CLS, but they are designed for the the big brake kits.
They are Kennedy Performance Type-10R, 20x9.5 and 20x11
Tires are Continental Conti Sport Contact 3- size 255 fronts and 305 rear.
These wheels are technically not brand new, but are new in most regards. I had these wheels on my CLS 63 just before I sold the car. I kept them with the intent of putting them on my SL65 when I found one. So, I had the wheels completely rebuilt, re- finished, and upgraded with new everything.
Surprise! They don't fit the x-large rear brakes on my newer SL65.
(not happy)
Attached are the pictures of the actual wheels and tires.
The picture of the wheels on the car were before the refinish, and are the original "brushed" center spokes.
These wheels are upgraded from the original manufacture in the following ways:
1. The barrel lips were stripped, and triple chrome plated from a custom chrome shop. It’s a much more durable, and deeper finish.
2. The billet centers had all of the machining edges hand de-burred. Factory pieces have very sharp edges, as the rim flexes while driving, the clear coat may crack at this point allowing water entry and corrosion of the aluminum underneath the clear coat (white lines). By removing all sharp edges before finishing, this makes the clear coat much less prone to stress cracking.
3. The centers were fully polished before finishing $1500.
The centers then had the "window areas" painted gloss black, and the entire center were clear coated and baked. Then all new chrome bolts, and nuts were installed. New chrome valve stems also, with chrome caps.
The tires have 300 miles on them. New tread depth is 10/32 and they still have 10/32 depth. They were mounted and balanced by a local race shop that sets up tires for Road America race teams.
The wheels have new Mercedes (315 Mhz) TPMS sensors and gaskets installed.
The wheels have new billet center caps installed, but will also accept the factory tri-star center caps if you prefer.
Everything is virtually new, and / or better than new.
I have $8,300 in the set of four.
My asking price is $5300
These wheels look very "factory" on a CLS, they fit completely inside the wheel wells, and the tires fit properly on the rim lip.

Professionalism
Joe at Kennedy has always been very professional and tries to go that extra mile. Sorry to hear about your experience. He does seem to keep busy, but the quality is top notch. Also, it is nice to be able to talk to the top, when you need to, even if it takes a day. I've tried with other popular companies, and it is very difficult or impossible.
