We are just like you, guys who have been passionate about cars since the crib. We live, breathe, and dream about custom vehicles. And like you we were left disappointed when we researched the wheel market, a market that did not live up to our standards or vision. On the one hand, there are 3 piece wheel companies making amazing lip sizes for low offset vehicles that not everyone can afford. Unfortunately, despite our devotion to make our dream vehicles a reality, we are not all millionaires. On the other hand, the 1 piece market features some great looking designs all the while sacrificing lip size for high & low offset wheels-- to maximize profits. Makes sense for the business, but not for the car aficionado, a.k.a. the K3 Projekt customer. We understand not everyone wants to spend $4K on a set of 20’s but where was the perfect fitting 1 piece wheel? The perfect fitting wheel was no where to be found till today, till the K3 Projekt. We are a team of innovators, business men, and wheel gurus who set out to turn our passion and knowledge of cars into a company for car enthusiasts. The K3 Projekt is our visionary idea, put to work for you.
Our vision is grand and yet simple: to make an affordable, quality wheel for the connoisseur of custom vehicles. We have the skills, know how, and enthusiasm to give you the best look for your project: a wheel that fits the vehicles our designs are made for with the most aggressive, eye catching look the market offers. Ever since we began the K3 Projekt, our main concerns have always been quality and safety. For this reason, manufacturing is the most important facet of the wheel brand. It is a wheel company’s foundation for the creation of great designs with unsurpassed quality. For the K3 Projekt, only the highest quality manufacturing plant would do
Before the inception of the K3 Projekt we set out to research the manufacturing of wheel brands in the US to determine the quality issues of these products. Our investigation gave us solid data on the top 10 most popular brands. Our research conclusion: great styles with low quality or good quality with amateur styles.
Our research took us outside of the US to different countries. After all, 95% of the brands we investigated out-source wheel production, molds, etc., so we had to travel to the factories to see for ourselves how these wheels are made. We gathered all the information we could—informing ourselves on every DOT standard and TUV approved product—and found 9, yes NINE factories we needed to scope out. Most people think all wheel factories are the same producing equal products-- nothing could be further from the truth. During our travels we were horribly surprised and disgusted by the conditions of the vast majority of these factories, how they build their products, and what passes for quality control.
Finally, after a month of travel we found a reputable public manufacturing plant with in-house testing facilities and floors you could eat off. From engineers to janitors, this company’s employees were all trained to do their jobs to perfection. We had found our factory. Our factory is well known and highly regarded for building some of the best wheels in the business--they also own every possible certificate
necessary for importing wheels. As they say, “YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR.”
The goal of the K3 Projekt is to manufacture a quality product that is safe. We have the knowledge, the skills, the passion, and most importantly, the factory to accomplish this goal.
