I am currently driving a 2002, C320 (W203) Wagon, 3.2L 3199CC V6 GAS SOHC Naturally Aspirated and running 16 inch OEM wheels (pictured) and am looking at purchasing some staggered 17 inch wheels (also pictured) with tire size 225/45/R17 on the front and 245/40/ZR17 on the rear. These cam off of a 2009 C300 (W204) Sport. Both the existing 16s and the 17s have a 5x112 bolt pattern.
Can anyone tell me if these staggered 17s will fit my C320 without additional adjustments or will I need spacers and extended bolts? and if so, what are your recommendations?
Also, should I expect any rubbing within the wells? With or without spacers?
Thanks.

I am not a C320 expert but I am pretty sure it will fit. I know some 2002 models came with some 17x7.5 or 8 options.

If the wheels came off a stock 2009 c300 then I am guessing that it is a 17x7.5 +45 with 225/45 and the rears are possible 17x8.5 +45 245/40.

Do you want it to have a flush with the fender look? If so, the front may need a spacer.

Doing some research, I believe the offset on my C320 (W203) is 35mm and the offset on the C300 (W204) is 45mm. I'd like to maintain the same fitment but I'm not sure how the offset works. Is an increasing offset (from 35mm to 45mm) indicate outward distance of the centerline of the wheel from the hub? If that is the case, a spacer wouldn't work because I would need to reduce the offset or draw the centerline towards the hub. I could put my wheels on the C300 with a 10mm spacer and obtain the 45mm offset, but not the other way around. Am I off base on this, and calculating negatives?
I don't want to purchase something that I can't use on my car.

the higher the offset, the more inward the wheel is pushed in.

So a spacer would push the new rims out to the same position as the existing....
The rims off of the C300 (W204) are 17X7.5 front and 17X8.5 rear as you had guessed.
The existing rims are 16x7.5 front and rear.
In order to align the new rims to the existing fitment, sounds like I might need different size spacers for the front and rear. And, sounds like with the spacers, I would probably need extended lug bolts also. Thanks for the discussion. Now I need to determine how much spacers and bolts will cost in order to factor the total cost of replacement.
