2006 Mercedes e350 4 Matic
Will it fit?

Hello everyone
I got a 2006 Mercedes e350 4Matic
thinking of replacing my wheels sometimes in the spring
so my question to you guys is since the car is 4 matic should I stick with same sizes four example 18" 8.5 Front and rear
or can I do fromt 18" 8.5 and Rear 18" 9.5 ? I don't want to mess up 4wheel-drive system
and the wheels that I like are Cosmis Racing R1
check them out guys on Google and let me know if they will look good on my 2006 e350.
Thank you All.

S'far as staggered width, that won't affect the 4Matic. The tire heights/diameters, however, will, if they vary from stock/OEM height. (At least this is my experience with several other non-Benz AWD models.) This has to do with measured wheel speed and what the car is expecting to see. If the wheel speed between the front/rear isn't what the computer wants to see, it interprets the shorter tire (higher wheel speed) as losing traction/spinning and sends torque to where it needs to be and/or reduces torque to the "offending" wheel/tire.

This action can also play havoc on the hardware; in this case, the center differential. The constant lock/unlock of the plates can cause premature wear.

Net net, stick with stock diameter tires and if they are all the same size at all four corners, stick with that set up but you can vary the width of the wheel with no appreciable issues.

Insofar as the aesthetics....that's a personal choice.

And, by the way, you are aware you posted this in the CLASSIFIEDS section, yes? This should be in the "Wheels, Tires, Suspension" section...
