600-Horsepower Brabus AMG GT-S

Brabus getting their hands on a Mercedes shouldn’t come as a shock, and it wasn’t long after the AMG GT came out that they would work their magic. Now if you’re like me, you were a bit confused at seeing this Brabus variant has 600 horsepower. For Brabus, that’s relatively tame.

Brabus actually didn’t need to do all that much to reach 600 horsepower, though. All that was done was a computer flash for the engine management system and viola. Speed in leaps and bounds. Highway speed is reached in just over three and a half seconds and terminal velocity just manages to start with the number two.

Brabus also has some aero elements that are added, but unlike the Prior Design body kit, this one is more for go than for show. It looks excellent none the less. A bit more subtle than Prior Design, Brabus kept the bulges at bay and instead went more for tweaking instead of a full re-working of fenders. A tiny wing, by some people’s standards, sits on the rear deck with side skirts, and a front splitter in beautiful Brabus carbon fiber up front.
