E63 AMG or E550 4MATIC? Decisions, Decisions…
It seems that one of our forum members is having some trouble deciding between two cars. We thought we would lend our expert knowledge to help him with his quandary.
AMGAffalterbach is looking for a new Benz. He’s narrowed the candidates down to a 2014 E550 4MATIC and a 2012 E63 AMG. I already know what you all are thinking: How is there a competition when an AMG’s involved? Here’s the kicker, though: He lives in Colorado, where there’s more snow than there are cows in Illinois. That means most of the year will involve some sort of sliding and/or getting pulled out of ditches, depending on AMGAffalterbach‘s skill level.
We want you all to help him out, so please speak up. Before you do, here’s my suggestion to AMGAffalterbach: Get the AMG. I’ve driven it and I love it. However, you really need to get a great set of snow tires so you won’t have a problem. Unless you’re terrible at driving in the snow. If that’s the case, get the E550 4-Matic. Just know that AWD isn’t always the solution you want it to be.
Seriously, though – get the AMG. You’ll be happier.
