Leaked: AMG GT Edition 1
It seems to be the current trend among automakers to put out a special first edition of any car that’s highly anticipated to drum up more business at the launch of the new car. Alfa Romeo is doing it with the 4C, there’s a Z06 first edition, a few others, and now the brand-new Mercedes AMG GT will also get a first edition.
While not officially announced by Mercedes, photos leaked online last week showing what could very well be the AMG GT Edition 1.
What gives the story more credence is that we saw a prototype running around the infamous Nürburgring a few weeks ago. We thought it was the Black Edition of the AMG GT, but now with these photos we are leaning more toward the Edition 1. This just doesn’t appear bonkers enough to be a Black Series car.
Mercedes is supposed to announce a new car in Paris this week, so we won’t have that long to wait for the official unveil of this car.
