Let This Benz Break Your Ears with 119.6 dB of Sound

Mercedes-Benz CLS63 AMG Exhaust Sound Test

Today we’re serving up to 119.6 dB of exhaust sound. Belting out your decibel chart-topping song is a Mercedes-Benz CLS63 AMG fitted with a Fi Exhaust system, which is comprised of catless downpipes leading to an x-pipe that dumps into “Valvetronic” rear mufflers finished off with AMG exhaust tips.

Bring a dB meter into the mix, and you’ve got yourself a cherry-topped video. This Fi Exhaust system’s peak sound output is 119.6 dB. To put that reading into context, repeated and sustained exposure to 90-dB sounds can cause permanent hearing damage, and 125 dB is the point at which noise becomes painful, so this Fi system is pretty loud.

Hear how it sounds in the video below.

Now that your ears have been stimulated, stimulate your eyes by watching this RADO twin-turbo Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG blasting obscenely large flames out its ass on the dyno.
