Photos of the Week: Beautiful vs. Ugly C-Class

2015 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Sport Package vs Luxury Package Home

The chasm between the beautiful and the ugly in the C-Class range is astounding. What I’m actually saying is that the $650 Luxury Package ruins the W205 C-Class more than recharging your iPhone 6 Plus in the microwave.

People on the forum have a problem with the looks of this car, and I do, too. Every time I look at it, I get this expression on my face … I think it’s the same expression that would appear if my forehead were beat with a nightstick at medium force.

Forum member Germancar1 has this to say about the Luxury Package, and I think it rings pretty accurate.

“Those wheels are terrible. They’re some of the worst-looking wheels on the market. Mercedes is doing this to force an upsell. Shameful. The ride height is ridiculous, too. “

I’ll concede the above picture (posted by unr1) of the blue Luxury Package C-Class isn’t flattering. Member Pete1968 posted the following photo that does the ugly car more justice.

Here’s Pete’s rebuttal for naysayers like me.

“[This looks] great, but you probably would not know that, as the style is called “class”.

Call it what you want, Pete, but that grille without the three-pointed star is irksome. It looks like the car has a swollen nose from too many knuckles to the face.

OK, enough of the ugly stuff. Here comes the eye candy. This Photos of the Week-deserving C-Class is the pride and joy of forum member “tuggernuts“.

Now that’s a good-looking car.

What do you think? Do you agree the Luxury Package ruins the C-Class more than a urine bath for an iPhone 6 Plus, or am I out of my mind for hating on the ugly-stick package – er – I mean Luxury Package?

Cuss me out on the forum. >>
