Pricing and Updates for 2016 Mercedes-Benz Models
We make sure to bring spy shots and news of upcoming Mercedes-Benz models, such as the next E-Class and its impressive self-driving tech and the future SLC 450 AMG Sport, to you whenever we get wind of them. Today, we’re passing along word of when you can expect to see 2016 Mercedes-Benz models in your local dealership and how much you’ll have to pay to get one of them.
The earliest posted on-sale date for any of the 2016 C-Class models is August, when the $38,950 C300, $40,950 C300 4MATIC, $64,700 C63 AMG, and $72,700 C63 S AMG hit showroom floors. The C350e plug-in hybrid and C400-replacing C450 AMG Sport will land in September; their prices are pending. A C300d 4MATIC, whose price is currently undisclosed, will come out next February.
Some specific changes to look out for include a new Premium 1 Package for the C300 twins. It includes SIRIUS satellite radio, KEYLESS-GO, and Blind-Spot Assist. The Premium 2 Package comes with heated seats, a Burmester sound system, and LED headlights. You can also get an optional heated steering wheel. The Parking Assist Package features the Surround View Camera.
If you want an AMG version of the C, expect the availability of new designo interior choices. By the middle of November, you’ll be able to drive a GLC300 or GLC300 4MATIC home.
The sedan, wagon, coupe, and cabriolet versions of the E-Class have been on sale since April 14. Prices for the sedans range from $52,650 for the E250 BlueTec to $101,700 for the E63 4MATIC S AMG. Say “bye-bye” to the non-S version of the E63 AMG sedan and “hello” to the Night Package.
Almost $50,000 separates the starting prices of the E350 4MATIC ($59,900) and E63 4MATIC S AMG ($104,300) wagons.
Two-door E-Class sticker prices go as low as $54,200 for the E400 coupe and $62,250 for the E400 cabriolet. A Sport Package (Code 321) with AMG exterior touches is offered on both.
In early August, you’ll start seeing GLEs, including the $51,100 GLE350, and GLE Coupes, including the 577-horsepower GLE63 S AMG (price TBA), on the road.
All Es, GLAs, GLCs, GLEs, and GLE Coupes will get a new headunit (NTG5*1).
Other updates include new paint codes for the S-Class sedan and coupe and SL and a power bump from 429 to 449 horsepower for the SL550. According to Mercedes-Benz, “SiriusXM Traffic & Weather data services will now be included in MSRP of COMAND-equipped vehicles for five years (previously three years).”
