This Is the Mercedes SLC We Want

Recently, Mercedes took the veil off the company’s upcoming SLK replacement, the SLC. In shape, size, and engine choice, it remains the iconic tiny roadster everyone’s come to know and love, but better in almost every way.

We know that the SLC300 will be powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that makes around 241 horsepower and 273lb-ft of torque. The higher performance SLC43, will have a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 that pumps out a whopping 362 horsepower and 384 lb-ft of torque. Neither option is something to shake your head at. However, there is room left for improvement. Namely, the exterior.

I’ve never been a fan of hard top convertibles. They just look awkward and have a tendency to break down immediately after you’re out of the warranty coverage. Thankfully, X-Tomi Design agreed with me and they decided to create what you see above: an SLC Shooting Brake concept. It looks fantastic and if it wasn’t all just Photoshop magic, I’d probably buy one this very second. It looks very reminiscent of the BMW Z3 M Coupe, or a smaller GLA45 AMG.

What do you all think? Yay or nay?
