W126 Exhaust System?! 500SE
I have a Euro 500SE and I want an exhaust system. I'm looking for a muffler that has a Dual Inlet into the muffler. Because I have the Euro model the muffler has two inlets and two outlets. It's hard to find a decent muffler with dual inlet. Does anybody know of any exhausts or mufflers with a dual inlet?

I'll be parting out my '84 Euro 500SEL starting around May. If you still need the exhaust system then let me know and I can help you out.

The muffler won't fit? Doesn't look that way on the picture in his initial post. It doesn't look to me like the muffler and the hanger vary with the wheelbase. What do you think?

I should of posted this at first. I'm looking for an after market exhaust. Something sporty. But not intrusive and always noisy. Something more quiet but sounds great on WOT (Wide Open Throttle) and less interior droning. I have AMG Ground Effects and AMG Monoblock Rims. So I want a nice sounding exhaust. Believe it or not but I found some mufflers from Magnaflow that might fit the glove. I was thinking about replacing the piping from the head pipe back and set up an X Pipe and removing the central resonators, and Magnaflow makes a dual inlet muffler (http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/s...ne=main&id=595). And since the AMG ground effects have an odd offset of where the exhaust should come out to on the bumper, the far left. I can't get a fatty tip muffler like the civics have, because there is no clearance. They have a specially made exhaust from Sebring for the 500SE and 500SEC but it's $600+ even on ebay.de (http://i23.ebayimg.com/03/i/03/4c/63/7a_1_b.JPG). What I have in mind would cost less than $300. I'll try to get some pictures of my car, I'm also working out an exhaust system on my 1969 300SEL 6.3. Here are some rough sketches of what I had in mind, and please don't laugh they are ROUGH lol. Not sure about the Y Pipe Design. Also not sure which idea would be best for sound, power, torque, and flow improvement. Some of your input would be appreciated. OH and thanks for replying. I didn't think I'd get this many replies. So thanks for your time.

I was planning on getting it done at this muffler shop that I know. But any recommendations on possibly a better muffler or system. Or does that look like a good layout?

While we're on the topic of exhaust and everything, what would you guys think with a 89 560SEL having a pipe on each side of the car coming out before the rear tire? it'll be a straight pipe (only for drags and stuff) but it'll be fabricated so i can just put on the rest when i want.

Exhaust System?! 500SE
Hi
I have an Ansa rear muffler for the euro MB's. Brand new. I'll have to get back to you on a price, since I don't recall what I paid for it.
It is sitting in one of my bedrooms along with a new Remus system, also for the 126's.
If interested PM me at benzitch@msn.com
