But... how do you know it is a 335 Turbo? The site doesn't say.... or is all 335Ci turbo?
by the end of this year... (unless a new class amg is availble with the 6.3L)... i'm probably going to the dark side for about a year or two.
I have never owned a BMW, and this one really appeals to me.
I hate being stock and not having the ability to really create more power from an engine. The I-6's from BMW were always nice, but underpowered or high reving.
Now they finally have an engine that it will not take serious $$ to boost.
I'm still leaning for a used E55 in terms of price, but a new coupe sounds great.

I think it's a great car, but an estimated base price of $40K+ is probably asking too much. In fact, I believe with most of the options the price may touch 50K. I will rather shell out another 10K for a full fledged V8 M3. Besides, after coming from an N/A car to the C32, I will rather go back to N/A cars.

I agree . I am over Supercharged/Turbo power. I have also decided that this a great time to buy a 2003-2005 CPO E46 M3 and give the C32 to the wife as a grocery getter. I love my car and I know it's faster but I've driven a couple more M3's lately (SMG) and have fallen for the feel of it. I'm not ready for the P-Car just yet so I think the E46 will be my next move in the next couple of months. I still think the C32 is a better made car ( rattles, build quality of the interior etc..) but the M just feels down right ready for action in stock trim. Also I live in Palm Desert where temps can reach 120 any day. My C32 does not like being driven hard in that weather. M3 i think will handle it a little better. For obvious reason (n/a power plant).
just my 2 cents

i beginning to really like the car. Its not busy Z4 or plain like an (acura). Best of all, it probably will handle very nicely and have enough foundation to add some decent power. I'm pretty sure Dinan will have a power chip very soon for this car.
By the way, I love the new M3 V8, but the 3L Bi turbo will have more torque on the lower revs than the 4L V8. In fact the 4L specs for torque is something like 310 lbs/Tq and 400+hp.
The 3L will make 300lbs/Tq starting of 1500rpm all the way to 5000.
Add a new tune ECU and better breathing and exhaust and this figure will climb very quickly.
anybody else thinking of jumping to the dark side? I have never owned a BMW, this probably will be my first. Are dealers taking orders?
I drove BMW's for more than 20 years, including a 318i, 528i, 535i and most recently a 328Ci.
I went to purchase an E46 M3, but they were selling for $5K over MSRP at the time, so I bought the C32 AMG in September 2002.
I now have a deposit down at BMW of Dallas on a 335i, but they are not placing actual orders yet.
I still have not decided if I will take delivery or not of the 335i.
If this was an E92 M3 it would be a different story.
There are a number of posts on e90post.com from previous C32/C55 owners.
But I am considering a CLS550 or SLK55 as well at this point.

I admire your good taste not because I have a E90 sedan.
E92 rear is sht.
The E90 sedan rear is a fine design which not surprise on a car which is going to sell a million of them . The E92 rear is just a quick and dirty job simply makes the coupe looks different.
