I have both the E500 series and the vet. Good comparisom side by side.
Heat may have cut some off of the time but we normally run in 90+ heat. Jim

For every .10 sec reduction in 60' you are looking at about .15-.20 at the end of the 1/4.

Now that I have my own E55 I will be going back soon.
I have a set of new Drag Radials mounted to my stock rims ready
I wondering how much more than stock the HRE 20" front wheels weigh???
Anyone got an idea?
Thanks,
Jason
I know the turbos on my 911 turbo would get EXTREMELY hot, but I would have thought cold water would be a bad thing... same thing with hot brakes. I know for a fact that with brakes, you don't want to use cold water on them, so why is it ok w/ the S/C?
Again, I'm just asking for education's sake. I don't know the answer.
Ive raced twenty types of cars over the years and have never had any mechanical failure from icing down intakes.
I could see throwing ice cold water on a set of rotors after ten laps of road racing causing damage, or on a glowing turbo exhaust housing, but again I think this is a different case.....
