63 all models BEST 1/4, 1/8
Since we are finally starting to get 63 owners to the track we need to do a better job keeping track, no pun intended. Please 55 and 65 guys do not come in the thread and say "Jeez the 63 is slow", "what on earth is wrong with the car" etc.. This is a record keeping thread only and should be updated as more 63's run the drag. Here is a summation of what we have so far. I am missing people so please respond with your best times I would like to have all the intervals of the slip! Post temp of your car, temp outside, anyother tricks and or conditions. Please post your times and every detail you have in this thread. With the exception of Derekfsu, all the drivers here are very new and most of the runs are the very first runs in the car. For most it is the first trip to a drag strip. I am sure they have all been to other strips, Good luck 63's Guys weigh your cars and post weight as well!
CT= CORRECTED TIME USING SAE standard correction
To use this calculator enter the date, time, select dragstrip, ET, and trap speed. This calculator will look up the weather information for the date you entered from the closest airport to the dragstrip you select. Based on these weather conditions the calculator will calculate the density altitude and correct the timeslip to sea level.
NHRA Correction Factors - This is not a calculation but a table you can use to correct your timeslips to sea level if you run at a track where the air is thin.
So we are doing a more accurate correction that factors in the weather condition during your run!

I should correct all the times using the same standard, that will allow for equal playing feilds. Thank you for pointing it out!
For those who need explanation, here it is .
Every track has qualities that effect your time. Nature is a huge factor.
1.TEMP
2.HUMIDITY
3.Atmospheric Pressure
4.Altitude
In order to take the (weather and altitude) variable out of your times SAE has provided a correction called a DA#. Each track has a altitude correction to correct your times to absolute sea level. This does not account for the other factors listed. I have a program that takes the weather conditions at the time of your run and corrects your times based on the weather and altitude. Since we all live in different places the correction is necessary to compare the HP and runs of each car. The corrected number for Englishtown may actually raise your time! This is why I need to know your times as well as when and where. The Z06 may run 11.8's ant Englishtown but @ 3000 feet the same car runs 12.6, so you can see the problem. Is the Z06 a 12.6 second car or a 11.8? So the fastest uncorrected time for an e 63 is 12.56@114.(XABO)

I think with a little seat time you will see the numbers drop. I only made one pass at firebird with a brand new car in pretty bad conditions to get that time. I also drag race my Viper alot and saw a HUGE time difference after the first thirty passes.

Also all the cars still are LOW mileage driven by Rooks. Seems a great starting point. Obviously we all need alot more passes, looks like the fire has started. Samssonz, Trez63 , Juicee63, will be @ LACR WED night. Looks like Bluemax is headed to the track right now. XABO and VENOM ,real soon. I think Derek gave up too quickly on the 63.Venom still has his filters in and the old transmission software! Everyone is stock as well so this should be a relly competitive and friendly thread. Well, I guess after getting used to a high 10 sec E55, running low 13's (or even mid-high 12's) wasn't too impressive for him. Along with the fact that modifications are going to be very limited for the E63, he probably just didn't think it was worth it.

Some Important model differences
Advantage E63 weight 175 lbs
Advantage E63 Drag Coefficient .29
So on average the E63 should run .2-.3 better and 1-2 mph on the trap?
Thats a guess and likely depends on the weight of driver although it would be unlikely a cls driver outweighs a E driver by 175 lbs. Hey any of You E63 drivers 90lbs or less?

Not so good tonight. TREZ 63 got in the grouping with a 12.8@11X? I am awaiting his slip!! Track was worse, temp was too high. I did not do as well and I am a bit depressed. Only good thing was I ran a .002 reaction time!!!Uh I was smoked many times tonight, and ended up becoming the videographer. Sam did well but did not really improve upon May 4th. 12.8 @ 111 and I did 13.02 @112 Trez63 had a 12.8@ ? Likely a better trap than mine. I think all the tricks I learned did not have an effect because w/o traction it really matters not. Car seemed slower and I beleive the 15 degree diff played a huge part. The 55 that showed up Kameron? Silver CLS 55 , actually had the lowest time of 12.7 @114? Another highlight is the 55 killed an M5 and Sam beat the COBRA that was sportingh a new set of DR's. Same Cobra I beat last week. He killed me today! But My CLS brothers also gave it right back. So lesson here is TEMP really impacted the runs. I did see a few cars in the LOW 11's @ 122 which is pretty ******* sik. Corrected that is mid TENS @127. Ok wish I had better news Looks like The top positions are SAFE on the 63 leader board, 4 now!!!
