More likely to get pulled over if......
just ran across and article that stated your 3.97 times more likely to get pulled over in a CLK63 BS then any other car. This also makes it the fourth most ticket car out there......way to drive them hard

His mama. Traded y0 mama in because she was squeaking.
Phew! I'm safe!
My 215 blends in so well, most cops don't give me a second glance... except for the one I blew by at 75 in a 65. Even he was cool and didn't give me a ticket though. We talked cars for a good half an hour.

I also read the article. Note that it said most Benz drivers buy their car for status and don't fully understand its power and handling capabilities which gets them in trouble e.g. a ticket. I think BS owners know in advance what they own and drive it accordingly. Unfortunatley they also get ticketed more than others because of their enthusiasm.

I find it hard to believe that the BS is the 5th most ticketed car, there just aren't that many out there. I'd like to see more on the methods used to calculate the rate.

The only way that ANY AMG car could be on that list is if they figured their numbers using the percentage of owners of that car getting a ticket...not the total numbers of people getting tickets. It just wouldn't be possible for a car with lower production numbers to be anywhere on that list if they were just adding up tickets received.

To find the percentile they most likely count the number of citations and divide that by the number of registered cars (same make and model). This is why it states CLK63 AMG because and i am now assuming that the BS shows up as a CLK63 AMG and not a CLK63 AMG Black series.

I got pulled over within 2 hours of owning the BS. Official reason was I have no plates on the car . How could I, they usually send them in the mail 6 weeks later. It had probably more to do with me having long hair and not looking the part to own that car. At least they did it with style: Both search lights on, walking towards the car in my blind spot while the second officer with unmatched determination wrote down the vin number. Never a dull moment around here

I got pulled over twice in 3 days. Once was the cop going the other way, and was sure I exited the off ramp of I94 over 65 mph. It took him 1.7 miles to catch up with me. The second was clearly a "want to find something wrong stop" as a cop saw me in his rear view, slowed til I passed him (5 under the limit), then immediately pulled me over. Didn't find anything wrong. Cost me $165 for the fine and $200 for the lawyer to deal with the first ticket. AS

I got pulled over one night doing 83mph in a 65mph frwy. On way home from Lakers game on the 110frwy. The Chippie looked at the car over and around... asked "what is this?... then started asking all kinds of questions... said how he loved it... handed my CADL back and asked if I needed help getting safely back on the frwy (we were kinda in da hood). Now thats service. I was very polite and courteous though.

2008 MB CLK Black Series
I got pulled over last month by our local police, he said it sounded like I modified the exhaust (which I did), but he didn't even bother looking under the car, just asked a bunch of questions for 5 minutes, then I was on my way

Many moons ago when I had my Evo VIII (hey I was young), I got pulled over all the time when I wasn't speeding. I'm a white dude doing the speed limit in Houston...wtf. Each time they made up some BS about corner speed or acceleration but no tickets.

C63s & CLK63
I got pulled over last week by a state trooper on a motorcycle. Was shocked because they are very rare in MN. Something about the winters here.
Was doing 64 in a 55 and he wrote me up a warning. Asked me if my DL record was good and I told him I hadn't had any tickets. He comes back and says I do have a ticket on my record in WI. I tell him that doesn't count because I was on my sled racing a guy across a lake (beat him doing 105 mph ). He laughs and tells me to keep it down while walking away.
I always try to be polite and courious.
