Is this a good price?
Should I jump on that price or offer maybe $5995?
What is a fair price in your opinion. I mean this car looks spotless!
Schedule a pre-pruchase inspection at a shop near the seller that knows these cars well, get a recommendation from the forum if possible. Then if it gets a decent report, target $5K and if paint and body are original, interior excellent, mechanicals good, be willing to go up to your $5995.
Keep in mind these cars, especially the SEL 300's, are a bit underpowered and are geared short to compensate. So they rev high on the highway, and make sure you are OK with that.

Thanks Bruce. Yeah, I just read that the 300SEL only has 177 horsepower. My E350 has almost 270 horspower, so I can only imagine the 0-60 time......lol.
But thats ok. I'm not out to race it or anything. I'm ok with it being underpowered and slow. I just love the body style and the way it looks.
Thanks for your input
He's a wizard with the W126's, tell him Bruce recommended you. He's at 404-805-1357.

Thanks Bruce. I will definitely bring it to him (or whatever MB I decide to purchase). I was looking for a good independent MB shop anyway. He is not that far from where I live.....maybe 10 miles or so.
