Don't waste your hard earned money on magical chips that make your mercedes faster, its a crock and I get it with wanting to upgrade or do cool things that make performance better but at the end of the day your wasting your money. Think about it for 3 seconds and ask yourself a very basic question? Do you not think that mercedes does not have that magical chip? I'm sorry not being negative but think about it and the whole chip thing is a joke. Your not gonna gain anything, just a headache and a yea I learned my lesson kinda deal. Just me thoughts and its all good.

Mercedes has nothing to do with aftermarket modifications to your car. They have an agenda from a business standpoint to have two cars which appeal to two different audiences, the C250 and C350. They make a lot of money by engineering two separate drivetrains for different kinds of customers. They have no intentions of offering any kind of power modifications for a 1.8 Liter 4 cylinder car with 201 hp. What we are looking for is a small boost in performance at a low cost. I'm not gonna simplify the economic standpoint of that anymore than I already have.

Guy, WTF are you on about? It's a proven mechanical and software modification to a car. Its not a placebo medication. They do the work in house, dyno the car, change the A/F ratio as well as several other operating parameters and voila you have a faster/more powerful car. There's nothing magical about it.

I hear ya on your point and respect that.As said by another poster, it does in FACT increase HP based on Dyno testing--i think by ~20HP and ~40lb/ft torque (something like that). Those are good numbers for something that only cost ~$280.
No our car's aren't for performance, but this is an awsome improvement for our stock c250 that currently produces 201HP, 229 torque.

I don't mind swapping out a slightly bigger turbo (if possible using adapters to use existing piping) and re-swap in time for the 10k services. Sounds like a lot of work to me, in addition to the necessary tuning. At this price point, the C350 guys might just be right...why spend so much when you can just get the C350?

Former c350 owner here now in a 2011 gti with apr stage 1 and intake. 255hp and 303 tq. Car is fantastic. I still love mb but damn they could've done a lot better than the turbo 4 they released. Maybe an upgraded c250 soon to compete with BMW and Audi? Why is mb always late to the party?

Test drove the gti and liked it a lot. Didn't notice any turbo lag vs c250 I noticed right away. I researched the hell out of it and like that you can get to stage 4 if you have the cash. Almost got a GLI/GTI, but dealer didn't have the autobahn edition and when I asked to test drive some other cars they told me to schedule a test drive. I said screw it and got a c250 instead.
Autobahn GLI lease would have been around the price range of my c250 lease ~$450, so it didn't really make too much sense to me because I could get into a great looking car with an okay engine (c250) vs an okay looking car with a great engine (gti/gli). What really got my into a c250 was the interior--I love it, plus it has that young executive look to it.
I will still look into a gti when my lease is over. Hopefully VW doesn't dumb down the GTI like they did the Jetta.

My gas sipping C-Class
I have a 09 Genesis Sedan w/V8 and
used to have an 2005 C230 Kompressor Sedan for commuting.
After 203k flawless miles on the Mercedes I decided it was time for a change and ended up going back to a VW for commuting. The genesis, although decent on gas for being a V8, was costing me $635.00 a month in fuel. The VW costs $400.00..
Anyways, I first got a 2011 Golf TDI and did the Revo chip. Huge gains in torque! Needed a 4 door, so I traded the Golf in on a 2012 Jetta GLI.
stock, the GLI is right around 200hp & 207 ft lbs trq.
I did an intake, exhaust and APR chip. That's it, for performance mods. Cost under $2k installed and now have 274hp & 314 ft lbs.
The car is incredibly quick in 3rd and 4th gear......Here's a video of a 3rd gear pull, I took with my cell phone.
Was trolling through the forum, because my Brother-in-law just picked up his C250 on Friday. Not that he would chip it under warranty, but he drives a lot and may do so when the warranty is up...We'll see.
I'm pretty stoked that MB has gone with a turbo 4 in the new C class. Hated that they got away for a forced induction 4 cyl after my C230.

You guys in this thread have not been paying attention. If you power hungry guys read the w204 threads, you will know that there is a tuner working on stuff, getting us the same gains as the new 328i 240hp-260tq+ at stage 1. Please search the forums. Also, it will help if we can support them as I would like to see more options regarding power for this car.

Anyone try swapping a diff from w204 c250? Has lower gearing....MB put higher gearing in the turbo to keep perf lower than other models.

I wonder if you can unplug it when you go in for service and if the service people will know you ran the car with it? Thoughts? Be gentle. Is this company trustworthy or it is just my idea that 28% increase of the power is too much for just a chip (having in mind that the B25S kit from Brabus for example, which also includes bigger intercooler does not offer such performance)
