New Headlight/Foglight Bulbs Installed - Phillips Diamond Vision
I just picked up an '09 C300 for the wife about 3 weeks ago. It did not come with HID's and I didn't feel like putting in an HID kit right now so I threw in the Diamond Vision 5000k bulbs in the headlights and foglights. I also put the hyper white bulbs in the eyebrows and the new clear side markers. For pretty cheap it came out nice.
Take a look.

in terms of vison range, did you noticed an improvement vs. the original light bulbs or you just went tot eh "HID looks"? Please advice. As you , I just purchased a C300 sport and do not want to install an HID kit for now.

I have some posts on this topic. Tried the Luminics Krypton Series bulbs and loved the color but street vision was so bad that I had to go back to stock.
My general feeling now is that if you only care about color, you can get away with these tinted halogens otherwise the only way to get the color AND vision is with an HID kit. And even then, the HID kit will be prone to lens focus and glare issues.

So rivalrider, your bulb replacement was more to get the HID looks or are they more functional (vision-wise) than the stock H7 bulbs?

No, no error message.
I honestly didn't notice much of an improvement. It definitely didn't get any worse though.
I got the bulbs for $35 a pair. I saw that Phillips has the Crystal Vision (4500k) and the Diamond Vision(5000k), I'm not sure if they have any higher then that but I don't think you would want to go that high due to losing light output.
Like I said above, there was not much of a difference other then a little color change but definitely no worse then stock. I just hate the stock yellowish H7's.
All in all I would love to get HID's all around. I have them in my Tundra and love them. Some day

I am considering pulling the Crystal Vision and going with the Diamonds. Can you post where you purchased them when you get home? I've been looking online, and by the time I add shipping, I am close to $180.

That's the problem I've had. All the companies that I have found have been in China...so shipping ends up costing more than the actual bulbs

See if the sellers will combine shipping. It will take about 2 weeks from China

Changing the bulbs out is i think the best and simplest ( and less costly ) solution to those without OEM HIDS imho one doesn't have to get an hid kit and worry about the ballast placement , error messages or whether or not it voids out my warranty !!
With that being said ..... yes my wife did get an HID kit and had it installed

ipmart.com has them for $27 a bulb if you register as a distributor and order the minimum 5 bulbs. Comes to $135 for the bulbs and $25.18 for Fedex 3 - 9 day delivery and $7.21 for what I assume to be customs. Total $167.38 for the 5 bulbs or $33.48 per bulb. Its good to order 5 just in case 1 blows out.
http://www.powerbulbs.com You can get 4 bulbs here for Approx $123.43 (todays exchange rate) shipping is included. They also have a wide selection of other H7 bulbs that are much less expensive then the Diamondvision but still major manufacturers. You also get a free pair of side makers for any purchase 15 pounds or more.
Low and High beams are H7 bulbs - Fogs are H11. I don't know if you can put the H7's in the fogs as the OP has stated, but anything is possible.
