2 little fenders bender today, need a part #/$

So bad day for driving today. In a parking lot waiting for a spot, some dumb F in a 5 series backs out without looking behind him into the side of my car (WTF who backs up without looking behind them in a parking lot????) fortunately there was no dmg as it was only like 2 mph....

then on the road home someone tries to cut me off and then slams on the brake, i cant stop fast enough and rear-end them. By the time we impacted I had slowed down a lot so the impact wasnt too bad. No damage to them and the only thing broken on my car was the licence plate mount thing, and even then its just a little crack.

I called the dealer to ask and they said theres like 5 diff ones depending on what my car is, and they start at $100, couldnt really get more specific without looking at my car......

So who here knows what the part # and price is of the plate mount for a '10 c300 sport 4matic?

Thanks!

I could, but it's not that badly damaged just one corner is cracked. It's not bad enough that I need it fixed ASAP but enough so that I'd like to know how much it will actually cost so I can replace it after Xmas. It's also messy outside so I don't feel like getting down and removing it in the snow lol

No flame, but that is a classic case of entitlement syndrome. You're too lazy to do it yourself and expect others to do it for you. You could've had the info you wanted, needed by now in the 50 minutes between your posts.

Dude the brackets are ridiculously expensive for what they're made of. They charge like $60 for a bracket at the dealership. I had the same experience. Someone parked a little too far in and hit my front license plate and cracked my bracket. Went to the dealer to ask for a new one and they said it would be $60. I decided to live with the crack.

My dealer quoted me over $100! So I found this on ebay:

it says 08-09, but it should fit your 10. It also gives your part number

204 817 18 78

to be honest I think that is a ridiculous prices for a plastic license plate bracket, but you can't really find it cheaper anywhere else.

Sorry for all your bad luck today. It's a very busy time to be out. I sometimes get a rental car this time of the year because of that.

However, thankfully, I think you had some luck in that you got off with minimum damage.

Hope the rest of your weekend goes better!

I'm from Michigan and don't need my front plate bracket. I don't plan on moving anywhere which requires one anytime soon. I drive an 08 c300 sport and will mail it out to someone for the cost of shipping/my convenience/gas...say $20 bucks. Never installed. PM if your interested.

On almost all parts, you will find a part number with a sticker, stamp, or etched onto it.
