HTML code appears to be disabled here, sadly.

Very good write up though!

Works fine for me as is. Great job!

Just bold up the numbered steps and text.

Try copying just the pic with the drain plug on the oil pan, on another page.

BTW, It looks like with just front wheels up on ramp, and drain plug located toward the front, you may leave some oil in sump?

How much came out vs wnet back in?

.

The only thing I would do would be clarify that this is for the C250 with a V6, not the 1.8 Turbo C250 that some of us get.

Still can't get the picture to display, well, the same post I made on VWvortex seems fine, for peoples can't see pictures in this post, please use this one: http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthrea...Y-(24-Pictures)

Yes, there was indeed some oil left in the sump, next time I do it, I would use a tube inserted through the dipstick tube and suck the reminder out.

about 7.5L came out and I put in same abmount for new.

Great write up, very useful!
But be careful, if your car is still under warranty - you may lose the warranty if you change the oil by yourself!

Agreed, go to licensed shop, have an invoice (using specified Oil and filter) much cheaper. But i would do a Benz Service A or B during the life of the warranty. Imo. Good write up OP.

You cannot be denied a warranty claim for doing your own maintenance. The only way a warranty claim can be denied is if you damage or modify something, and then it is only the part that is modified that is not covered. Unless the damage can expressly be pinned on a modification, the Magnuson-Moss warranty act protects you. Keep your receipts and mileage documented, and go about your business.

The reason I say don't DYI. My extended warranty states (not MB warranty), No DIY maintenance. Not messing with it. Just watch people, many warranties are different. This is a Canadian car. I've had other private extended warranty's before and have done my own DIY oil changes. This one with my MB no such luck.

Nice DIY write up

You have to put the pictures up in a format for it to display here.

Holy crap. Did you know this before you purchased the warranty? Part of the joy of ownership is wrenching on the car for me.

This is a Canadian car.
Ah, I didn't think about that - does Canada have something similar to the Magnuson Moss Warranty Act to protect owners?
