so it sounds like a pain in the *** lol I might just call the dealer if I can get them to install it. If i come across a smashed car with navi/headunit/cluster cover for sale it might cut the cost down quite a bit. I'm sure the bulk of the 4000$ is the navi/headunit/cluster cover.
First post, please be gentle. I have an E250 MY15 with Command Online system. I'd like to do iPhone/iPod/iPad mirroring onto the command screen. I've googled around, but haven't found any real solutions. The car was released *just* prior to the Apple Car Play update, so that's a no-go, I'm afraid.
Anyone here have any ideas? Software-only solutions preferred, but am willing to investigate hardware options as well.

I did a reset to my system, and after that, I only have access to the GPS, I see the maps, but I cannot control the radio, video, access the system, etc, etc...

To my understanding, the cable that plugs into an AV port on these command units is typically going to the backup camera. Does your car have a backup camera on the trunk lid?
I don’t have reverse cam, it is part of the setup that I’m performing to install it. Anyway the Ntg 4.5 have two vídeo in, the one were the cable is connected is the aux-in video, the one that is free is the reverse cam.
At this moment is somehow irrelevant were the cable goes since I had to disassemble everything to connect the cam, but I’m curious about it.

Perhaps then the 2nd video in would be for a front dash cam?

Only you can do this with multimedia interface. Please, may have a look at my previous post to reach my solution.
For Audio 20, there is not any Video Aux slot before 2011 models made by MB, but new 2012 model Audio 20 has 1 Video Aux for rearview cam and also 6 CD changer.
Please I have a 2012 E350 with a 4.5 comand. Though the screen display an option for reverse camera the car did not come with a factory fitted one. So I intend fitting a factory fitted one believing it will work by connecting a camera to a video input on the comand. I only saw fakra inputs (three green ones and others). So I don't know how to go about this. Please help.
