2014 C350 7G+ transmission shifting issue?
At first I thought this strange shift behavior was part of the "learning" process but after 4K miles, this is really annoying me and certainly isn't acceptable of a 50K vehicle.
My C seems to jerk/buck in lower gears while decelerating or coasting in the midst of stop-and-go traffic. The sensation is similar to being lightly rear ended. It seems to happen when the car just begins to gently accelerate and if I left off on the gas, the car "jerks". It seems to do this in both Sport & Efficiency modes. I'm guessing it's occurring in the 2nd or 3rd gear but it's hard to tell. Once I'm on the road gaining speed or just cruising on the highway, there are no issues as only the top gears are used.
I had the dealer look at it and they found no software issues or any fault codes. I'm supposed to take it back and have a tech ride with me.
Has anyone experienced or dealt with this? I've had many C250 loaners and the same 7G+ powertrain shifts just fine with no bucks/hiccups/jerks. Feeling very annoyed. I love this car but hate the tranny.

Tell your dealer to put the car on a Star & reset all adaptions on the transmission & check all the lockup pressures etc. It could also be the TC lockup clutch that is misbehaving.

Shifting Issues
I am having the same problem with my 2014 C300. See thread posted in other MB forum by me. My car has been to dealer 3 times now and they can reproduce but do not have a fix. They say MB is working a fix but has not been released yet. They told me this several weeks ago. This morning I dropped my car off and said keep it until you fix it. I have a loaner from them. The idiocracy in their statements that no damage is being done is ridiculous. Loud slamming and jerking does cause some type of wear and premature issues. Hence my reasoning for them to just keep the car. Suggest doing the same.

This thread on a 2014 C 300 sounds like similar problems except its a 4matic

My dealer last month just said to drive the car more and see what happens. I did find a crude solution to eliminating the "kicks up the backside" when decelerating from 3rd to 2nd or 2nd to 1st. When pressing on the gas, if you need to slow down say in stop-and-go situations, completely take your foot off the pedal and don't modulate your gas back to zero. That seems to prevent 90% of any jerking in my case. Regardless, when I can find the extra time (never), I plan to take my car back in.

My 09 does the exact same thing
A '14 doing the same thing as a '09? Five years and the transmission behaves the same? My '08 shifted smooth as silk. Seems to be a hit or miss deal, you would think the factory would permanently fix this.

So it's been quite a few months since I last took my C350 in for transmission troubleshooting. As much as I travel for work, it's difficult to make time for extra dealer visits. I'm scheduled to take my car back in for the same ongoing issue of slow speed jerks/jolts next week. It seems to happen most under 35mph while letting off on the gas.
Has anyone here had any luck fixing this?
