Go ride in a 2015 STI and you will **** your pants then. That's harsh.
No wonder I couldn't get any good spring data haha. People think stock is harsh no wonder people think progressive rate springs are bad

MBWorld Fanatic!
I test drove the 17" they were an unacceptable ride to me.
Having different size front & rear in the US is BS also. More expensive to maintain as they cannot be rotated.

Put 16" wheels & 205/55/16 tyres on it. There is a considerable difference in ride to the lower profile choices.

My other car is a Volvo S60 riding on 235/45/17 on all four corners. Rides very comfortably nothing compared to the harshness of the C.
It is what it is.

I don't why people think the W204 rides harsh. I think it's pretty damn smooth...any car will ride harsh when you're going over potholes and bumps especially in New England. I have to say though the w205 rides even smoother. By the way can you put anti sway bars on a RWD w204?

Gentleman,
The comparison is not with an American full size vehicle, rather with competing motors in its segment. Unless my car has suspension problems which i'm pretty sure it does not, in comparison, the C class has a harsh ride. This is no secret on the sports or avantgarde trim of which I own an example of. Is the car smooth on the highway, yes you bet your a**. However on bumpy roads or with a minimal crack on the road the car, especially the rear end hits hard and it's all over the place. This I can say with property as I also own another vehicle of competing specs (Volvo S60). My friend's 330i (C300 direct competitor), while the ride is firm it does not bottom out as fast and it definitely does not sway at all. My cousin's A4 (base 4 cylinder) same story. In fact the Audi is happy when thrown into road discrepancies.
We can all disagree as everybody has different tastes, takes on the subject. In my opinion and after comparing it to similar spec vehicles the C class has a harsh ride, the sports trim anyways as I'm sure the lux is a lot smoother.
My humble opinion on my lovely Merc.

Smooth and stable are not the same though.
You guys say it's not smooth, yet you want to reduce body roll. In order to do that you would need to stiffen the chassis components IE springs or sway bars lol.
It's an oxy moron, thus what I am confused about. Plus Merc purposely made a model for people that want a "smooth" ride yet people bought a sport expecting it to not ride marginally more stiff haha.
If stability is what you are after then sway bars is a good start but honestly without increasing the spring rate you aren't going to keep the car more planted which effects ride comfort.

As for the W204, Eibach makes a sway bar set, but it's for RWD W204's only:
http://www.tunersports.com/eibach-an...20_p14778.html
Stock W204 Front = luxury 25mm vs. sport 26mm (Eibach = 28mm)
Stock W204 Rear = luxury 16mm vs. sport 19mm (Eibach = 21mm)
Also, I found this mod on youtube which may be of interest:

trade-in with an E-Class lol. C class is very comfortable as I'm coming from VW and Toyota. One car that I found particularly comfortable, more comfortable than C-Class in my opinion was Ford Fusion. Alright, it's not firm, or responsive, but I'll choose that car for my family car in the future!! It's like riding on clouds, but a lot cheaper than E-Class

my 08 4matic and my sisters 10 4matic both sway at around 70-80mph noticeably, but mine sways alot less since i put on the h&r supersports. And once Broadway Static makes these w204 Coilovers it should ride smooth as hell lol

I'd like to convince KW to produce a 4matic street comfort coilover for us. Those things ride amazing for a street application.
So does the V3 if you have 3k haha.

Wife thought the E class felt out of our age demographic. We are in our mid 20's.
But yeah that's pretty steep although I'm accustomed to the notion of gotta pay to play.

One reason I don't like E-Class, at least for now is the size and the extra gas I'll be spending
