Thumbs up Anyone know this sound?

Ok haven't been on in a while but still have my 02 C32 with almost 100k miles which I'll reach come Spring/Summer. Anyways I've had this sound since last season but since car runs fine made no big deal of it. I still have over 2.5 months prior to taking her out of storage so have time to work on it if need be.
I don't have codes or nothing like that. It has Eurocharged 185mm pulley and Eurocharged Tune. I've had the PSK installed over 2 Summers now. I thought I remembered a thread with same or similar sound/whine. Opinions?

Sounds like a (really) bad supercharger bearing to me. I've just changed mine for the 5th time since I owned the car. Just hit 190K.

Is there a thread with DIY or where to buy a bearing?

Right now Needswings is the best place to buy the bearing. Attached is the code 3 pulley install guide. The installation would be the same for the regular pulley. If you have the pulley saver kit it's super easy because you don't have to remove the idler pulley.

Once you get the bearing, remove the pulley and take it to your local machine shop and have them press out the old bearing and press in the new bearing. Let them know that it's normal for it to be really tight. Usually they charge $10.

dont need to press out, just hammer the bearing out.

then when you put in the new one, bake the pulley and freeze the bearing, itll slot right in.

Thanks this is really helpful. This weekend I'm working on it and gonna pull off belt and manually turn SC Bearing and pullies to make sure which one it is so I can either get the SC bearing from NW or if it's a bearing from Pulley I'll get it from Eurocharged I presume since they are from them.

I've done it this way before. It does not slip right in. It's a huge PITA and you have to hammer the crap out of your pulley and bearing. A press does it in 30 seconds without any chance of damaging the $50 bearing or $500-$1200 pulley.

That's definitely bad. A healthy one makes no sound at all.

What you think of this bearing a tad cheaper and free delivery?

It will work fine, but won't last as long as the NSK. I used that one once. I got about 10k out of it before it started making noise again.

Or you could make your own press with a length of standard threaded rod from Home Depot, some thick washers and a few bolts. There are tons of ways to make presses I'm just thinking back to shop class.
