Mercedes E550 (Previous 450SL, CLK320, C63, SRT6)

TSW Nurburgring 20x10, 20x8.5

I'm still on the fence about these. I might sell them in favor of something a little smaller.

^^ Try to get for the front:

19x8.5 or 19x9 offset from +40 to +45

For the rear:

19x9.5 or 19x10 offset from +45 to +55

20x8.5 and 20x10 Gianelle Monaco

First post, I usually read and find the answer but am still unsure of this one... here are the specs:

2009 C63

20x8.5 Gianelle Monaco ET39
20x10 Gianelle Monaco ET46
225/30R20
275/25R20

H&R springs

Will it rub? From what I've read so far (which took like 6 hours lol), front seem OK. Back seem mighty close. Any other issues when running these wheels? Would a different tire size help? Seems like there are not many in this size range.

Thanks in advance!

Here is the wheel I'm refering to in the custom finish of Matte black with white flange and matte black bolts

My C63 and E55... the C63 has a set of spare E55 wheels on it temporarily

The front will work fine, the rear will rub with 275 +46 offset... try 255 or 265 & you will be fine on H&R.

Which is fine if you like the stretched look and the compromises it brings. Personal style taste over substance. My tyre experts see my 275s as minimum for my 10' rears.

Can anybody confirm whether the HRE FF01s will fit without rubbing on 245/35/19 and 275/30/19?

The wheels are:

19x8.5 +47
19x9.5 +45

I'd like to run a 245/35/19 on the Front, and a 275/30/19 on the Rear. Michelin PSS.

I could've sworn that I read someone with those specs said they had to run 265s in the back

They'll rub

you can do a 245 in the front, but a 255 in the rear is seriously as big as you can go on a michelin pss.

^^ I agree, 19x9.5 +45 is aggressive .. 255 would be safe, 265 might work depending on the tire brands.

Well, guess that rules out the HRE FF01s then. Will need something that I can dial in custom widths and offsets!

I prefer a 19x9/19x10 setup anyways!

Can anybody confirm the "best" fitment for a 19x10 to run a 275/30/19 Michelin PSS in the rear, along with being lowered is?

From what I gather, it's something like 19x10 +55?

19x10 +55 is safe but not flush enough.

I'm running 19x10 +50 with 275/30/19 PSS lowered on H&R springs with thicker rear pads (17mm) no problem even with passengers in the rear. I will occasionally rub with passengers over big bumps though.

So it all depends on ur rubbing tolerance. Go +55 if u want 0 rubbing , go +50 if u want flushness &/or rarely carry rear passengers.

There's a set of Forgestar CF10s that I'm looking at. They're +52 offset, but I reckon I could take 3MM off the backpad and make them +55 if I really wanted them to.

Does the 19x10 +55 clear the inner strut and inner fender liner? Will it rub from the inside?

My rubbing tolerance is 0, haha. On a car that I plan on driving hard, I want 0 rubbing, otherwise it irks me, lmao.

At +52mm, u don't need to shave 3mm to make them +55mm. U should clear no problem as is.

It is difficult to pin it down exactly when you are running tolerances this tight. I am running 19 x 10 ET +52 with MPSS 265/30/19 on my 2012 with KWV3 lowered all the way (~.75") and it rubs the fender joiner every now and then. Just a snick but a rub all the same and no rear passengers. I ran the same wheels on my 2010 lowered on H&R springs (~.75") and was able to run MPSS 275/30/19. I think you should be OK on the inner fender at ET+55. Keep an eye on the lines running to the fuel tank as they protrude the most into the inner fender area (right rear ahead of the axle).

Mort, I find it strange that u can run the same wheels with 275 on ur pre-FL car no problem.. But u get slight rubbing with the same wheels on 265 with ur FL car.

Ride height & stiffness must play a role.
