Based on what? Gut feeling? Years of research? I'd like to know... Sounds a bit pretentious on your part.

Tasho3: I definitely did not get them from "Wheelsbouteek" the world reknowned researchers in wheel technology...

Talk to Jake at Need4Speed. I think the offsets were 45...

I'd be interested to hear about WB side of the story, afterall they are one of largest wheels retailer in North America so I'm sure they have some kind of experience with each brands & their quality.

I had my fair share of "fly by night" wheel companies in the past, now I try to stick with the big names.

There are more well known brands like HRE, Volks, BBS, Advan, OZ Racing, etc. Known either through racing or well known with excellent CS.

There's a reason why wheels from these brands retain their value.
You actually should've done research when purchasing your wheels.
WB isn't wrong.

That's not my argument, if you read carefully...

Yes, it's pretty obvious to most anyone these brands you mentioned are top notch companies...duh.

Re-read WB statement.

They will fit with 235/35/19 front & 255/30/19 rear. 265/30/19 will rub. U would need offset +45 to +50 to clear.

Thanks Rosell, do you think the rub could be resolved with a slight fender pull or roll, or would it be quite a stretch? I know it's only roughly 10mm more of tire, but I would really like to keep as much tire as possible due to traction issues.

Can anyone recommend a set of wheels comparable to the Vorsteiner V-FF 103's? They are actually relatively reasonable price wise, but it's my daily driver and I'm counting on going through 2 rims per year (I drive a lot in South Carolina and Maryland...). I'd rather get something slightly cheaper...

Thanks. Anyone have any experience with them? I don't want something that's not quality... I know you get what you pay for, and that's why I had initially been interested. VMR, decent cost and solid quality.

Heard (and seen) mixed things about VMR as well as various other replicas/cheaper alternatives. Easily warping, chipping, cracking, leaking air, trouble balancing, etc. Maybe they've upped the quality since then or maybe you'll get a solid set with no issues. But for me, rather spend a few more than to worry about my wheels every time I go out. Been down those roads before both with my M3...never again. I love a great look at low cost just as much as the next guy, but not in this arena for me anyway. Just something to consider.

Either way, hope you find a set you're happy with. Wheel shopping is always fun

I had a great experience with VMR do in hoping they've maintained quality. Usually I'm of the same mindset and think "buy once, cry once", but the roads here force me to look at wheels as an expendable part with a finite life... If I got the FF HRE or Vorsteiner wheels I want I know I would drive myself nuts, and I'm confident that if destroy one within 8 months... I just can't bring myself to do that. It's especially a bummer because they're more affordable than I realized, but not affordable enough to replace 1-2 a year (for me anyways). If I still lived in VA I would definitely get one of those.

I am hoping some of you savants can assist. I bought my C63 used and it came with the wheels below. I now find myself with a stripped wheel lock key and no idea who the manufacturer is and thus no real idea of how to replace the wheel lock key. Any idea who makes these?

As far as I know wheel locks are independent of the wheel manufacturer. All you need to know is the brand of wheel lock. But this one will be tricky i'm afraid. You can try to figure out the type of lugs (conical, ball or flat seated) which might filter out some brands.
Honestly I don't how you'll be able to find out. Did you check the entire car for that key? It is surprising or shady the dealer sold you a car without it. GL

Not sure what wheels those are, but if you can find out the wheel specs, it may help narrow down the wheel lock options - thread size, shank length, seat type (conical/ball). When I was hunting for wheel locks for my aftermarket wheels, I remember I was limited to a few options for the shank length, thread type, and design I needed/wanted. I ended up getting McGard. Maybe start there to see if your locks look similar?

OR...just do this and get a new wheel lock set...

Hope you get it resolved

Thank you both for the responses. I've got the key, it's just stripped but if they are standard sizes then I guess I have something to work with.

I would just let the dealership remove the lock if oem , they usually have the master key.

If aftermarket, let the tire shop remove it & buy a new set of locks.. Don't reuse the same damaged set no matter which way u choose.

I hope u got a good deal for the car cuz they gave u cheap replicas MB wheels. I would have asked for oem wheels, but again maybe u got a good deal.

What make and model are those wheels?

Homer - congrats on the car, it looks great. If you're in the MD/VA/DC area check out No Limit in Baltimore for rim needs... May seem super ghetto, especially when you see the shop and SOME of the work they've done but they do have a certain clientele to cater to being in Baltimore.... They know what they're doing and run a GREAT shop.

I wish I could run 20" Vossen CV3's with a drop... but I can't right now... Damn roads...

vff-103s are like 2k a set. i wouldn't go any ****tier than that. i drive boston roads daily and never damaged a BBS CH-R or Kleemann MS11 both are probably the same quality of cast wheel.
