Replacing the C63 muffler??

Anybody ever thought of replacing the C63 mufflers near the tips?
I am tempted to change them out with a straight through design while keeping the stock tips.
What do you guys think?

I. Would. Never. Do. It.

First, they must be extremely free-flowing. So, you're likely not going to gain performance.

And I would wager that the sound would lose the distinctive 63 AMG tone with different mufflers.

But, what's to lose by giving it a try? Just money. haha

I think your right about loosing the C63 sound.
The way I was thinking of doing it was not even putting a muffler, instead deleting the mufflers and weld on straight pipes while using the stock tips. I haven't seen this done on a C63 but I don't know if i want to be the guinea pig for this project, lol.

Your car will scream! Would be pretty loud.

I don't know... with an engine as sweet as the M156, there's bound to be other cool ways of making the exhaust system sound good.

Are you sure you don't just want to get some LT's? Would be really loud, but very, very powerful.

If you try it let me know as I wouldn't mind swapping my E63 mufflers for C63 ones.

LTH's would be awesome. I think one of the best ways to get the full potential from the M156 next to an ECU.
Im trying to think of something that I haven't seen on the C63 before, Ive seen guys do this on the E55's and its pretty sick.

Hahaha Uhh ohh. I guess now I have to do it with the crowd cheering me on.
Yes, this project is getting obsessive. I hope I don't loose sleep over it, haha.

I would get new exhaust for the C63 just because I don't like the rasp sound.

the stock tips are amazing

but i would get Arka or Gintani for the square look just something different.

The Akrapovic slip on looks cool but its too much $$.
The Gintani setup looks great but want to know more about pricing and different tip options. Overall, I would lean towards the Gintani exhaust.

Hes whole Exhaust setup is too crazy. I kinda like the look of only 2 tips, very raw.

Your setup looked very familiar. How much did they charge?
