KW V3's or Clubsports
I don't know which to get.
http://www.kw-suspensions.eu/int/kw_productrange.php
Price difference is about 25% more for the Clubsports. But that's not my concern really. I am worried about harshness. I mean, I can handle harsh but I don't want to get angry with my choice later.
Based on my previous posted videos, I guess you guys know what kind of driving I love/do.
So anyone with V3's wish it was a bit more agressive?
Anyone with Clubsports wish it was a bit softer?
I'd love to hear everyones opinions. Thanks

I have been playing/dialing my KW v3 for the past three weeks. I'll post a short review and settings shortly. So far, the settings I have is pretty nice for the street, not to harsh or bouncy. Ofcourse at highspeed, it will kick into the factory settings.

For your situation...unless you're going to track the car regularly, I would just opt with the V3's. I think they will be good enough for everyday + occasional track use. I think the CS are leaning more towards the race side. Tell me how you like it. I'm havin KW's installed on my 211 as we speak. Super excited.

I think the V3's lower the rear 10mm but the front can stay standard.
I think you can lower it quite a bit, like 30mm-40mm or something.
It seems as if that's what people are saying about the Clubsports. I wonder though how much improved performance I would get on the road over V3's. I am sure I could also dial in softer settings on the Clubsports for daily driving?

I have Clubsports on my car. For myself its not hard at all like stock was. I had P30. Good part of Clubsports is that you can set up car more to make it soft or hard. It is very nice suspension for sure.
For v3 I never tried it so dont know how it handles.

Hiro - How does clubsports compare to Japanese coilover for Japanese car? For example like Tein, Zeal or Cusco. I have experience with these in Japanese cars.

I never tried Japanese coilover before so I dont know. But Clubsport have all kind of set up that you can do so I think that you can find good set up that you like. I kept mine just out of box that KW say its the best set up.
One bad part is that when you do set up for C63 for rear you have to take off the whole suspension to able to do set up so you cant do quick set up at the track. I dont know if its out for C63 but for new clubsport it will have dial like Blistein has so it will be much easy for you to do set up. Since it will have number on the dial you will know exactly what set up you are in. Hope that it will come out for C63 like this.
For newer car clubsport will make huge changes.
1. With dial to easy set ups.
2. Suspention will be the same as Competition.

Its simple. Do you track your car very often? if not then get the v3. If you track it a little bit but need a comfy ride I'd still go for the v3. But if you are a TRACK man and dont mind a harsh ride get the CS

Cheers mate... going with the V3's, i track the car atleast once a month but it is my every day ride as well and im on the road most of the time.. Do you track yours???

I do track mine, although its been so hot here I havent gone. Goes goes into limp mode to often.
#14
Is this a common problem with our C63s? I can't even complete a few rounds without hitting limp mode.
#15
That's too bad. Maybe get a new oil cooler and trans cooler. Also, Dads has said that the DTM front bumber could add some extra cooling.

my car went into limp mode each session about laps in at Buttonwillow, would do a cool down lap then get in 2 laps and it would happen again.
at Willow Springs Big Track it never happened once, was near the same temp outside but its a a wide open track with lots of cooling

Also, keep in mind that the warranty on the V3's is better due to the fact that the CS are considered a "Motorsport Product". I believe the Clubsports also need to be re-valved on a regular yearly basis.

CS comes with camber plate and linear springs in the front, but you need to cut out the opening more on the suspension mount tower in order to adjust camber, it can go up to -5 degree, adjust bump and rebound are simple, spring rates are not high at all, you wouldn't find it harsh at all, you need to drill the rear top mount on the car if you want to adjust the rebound after installed, true there is no warranty

C63
I had KW's for my old C55 and they were great.
Seeing that I never track my C63 and I just wanted a nice stance and softer ride ( P30 ) I went with HR and I can tell you that the service and support for the coil over are great.

A member, Jycke has it on his estate. Reviews have been really good, but the price is steep, and installation seems to be very involved.
