Miserly mpg, exhibitionist torque (i.e. Q5 TDI)
I wonder how they will measure up on price. The old clk black was, what, $130k? If the c63 is anywhere near that it will cost a significant premium over a GT-R. Regardless, I'll bet that (1) the GT-R will be faster on the track, (2) the black will be more fun on the street, and (3) the black will sound worlds better.

I remember when the first pic went live of the black series. It was behind a fence at an amg/MB testing facility with the added on flares in silve tacked onr. There were some on the board who said it was was a bad wide body kit by a customer at a body shop
Its for real. Why do you think BMW announced the lightweight M3 sedan at the M event last week.

Perhaps there might be some parts that would be good to install on a regular C63.

I hope you are being sarcastic here. Have you not seen any other pics of test/future cars being tested on the ring that are either in camo or slightly modified to the eye like this one caught in pics??? Its a process. They could be testing tire/rims that day or whatever. You are not going to see the finished product just yet.

BMW's lightweight M3 Sedan (estimated to make somewhere between 414 - 444 HP and will never be sold in the US) would be no match for a C63 BS.
My gut says the C63 BS will be a coupe, but I'm praying for a sedan!

I'd like to believe, but I don't at this point.
Is there any way to see who that car is registered to using the license plates?

This is more than likely a test mule and also doesnt mean that it will be a four door Black Series, the new W204 coupe will have the same platform. The license plates stand for Boblingen and the town of Sindlefingen shares the same plates BB, so it very well could be that this is a factory test car. Also the second two letters BR could stand for breit which means wide .

I hate to say it but if this BS C63 is anywhere close in price to the CLK BS, then it makes no sense to me and I will be going to a GTR.
GTR=100K + 10K exhaust/Tune mods = C63 BS killer anyday any time.

The c63bs will likely lose from a dig and around a track , but the BS will be less robotic and more fun to drive, sound better, be way prettier, rarer and have more allure than the nissan.
If you want $/speed then gtr but if you want something special than I'd go BS.

Want a few extra ponies? Add a bolt-in mid-pipe for $1K and you'll should find enough extra to comfortably hit high-10's with a full warranty. No tunes are available for the '12 yet.
Sorry for going a bit .
