2011 C63 questions
so, err, I'm probably going to have a million of them - but, here are my first couple. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
1) Is there a way I can upload my address book to the Command system? I had a look at the manual, did a few google searches, and didn't find a way.
2) I really don't like the door sils. Are there aftermarket illuminated door sils available? Are they easy to install?

After browsing the forums for a bit, found some here:
http://formymercedes.com/mb_results....ted+Door+Sills
Avail in white, blue, or other - say either Mercedes or ///AMG
Going to order some tomorrow.
As for the phone book - I will check the manual again, but the Sales guy said the only way to do it was to download your address book to an SD card!

What type of phone do you have? It took me 3 or 4 times to get it right with my BB. It is no where near as easy as the manual indicates. There a couple of videos on youtube for the BB.

Hmm... I have an iPhone. Not sure it's possible with the iPhone. iPhones appear to be missing the functionality to transfer contacts via Bluetooth.

+1. Functionality via Bluetooth is limited to receiving phone calls and making phone calls (using numbers you enter manually or which you have entered and saved directly into the phone book of the operating system in Command). As far as I am aware you need to have the phone cradle installed before you can share phone books, send SMS etc with your mobile phone (known as "convenience telephony" in the manual of my late 2010 version).

so uhh, I finally got it done - but I had to use an old blackberry to do it.
basically, I:
1) synced my iphone contacts w/ Outlook contacts
2) synced my old Blackberry w/ Outlook contacts
3) Sync Old BB to C63
4) Push address book to BB
It was a major pain in the ***. iPHones definitely have the capability to send their contacts to bluetooth devices - but MB does not accept them in the iPHone format, so they disabled that functionality.
So, all you really need is an old blackberry...
