C63 vs. BOSS 302
Just this morning I was waiting at a light and out of know where a guy and his girlfriend pull up beside me in a Mustang Boss 302. I was so excited to challenge this guy so I started to inch and get him to commit. He looks at me laughs and says to me that I have no chance he is in a "Tuned" mustang that creams "Ferraris"! I told him I knew his car and that hes full of ****. 5-10 seconds later it was my merc that smoked his *** easily making him look like a complete idiot. We stop at the next light and Im laughing while his girlfriend is practically in tears slapping him trying to get him to shut up and rollup the window since he was so embarrassing... One of lifes greatest moments and my car is just over a month old. I though it would be much closer... him he was obviously autoretarded not knowing an AMG, plus he sucked at shifting.

^^^ I will tell you what happened this morning between you and him. He probably misshifted, had a bad launch and or let go of the gas pedal because stock to stock the Boss 302 is as fast as the C63 AMG. Perhaps him having his GF added some extra weight.
I personally raced a friends regular 2011 Mustang GT auto and he was toe to toe with my C63. He trapped within 1 MPH of my traps and ran within a couple of tenths of my C63. The Boss has even more power than the GT so that is why I am saying that the Boss owner had a bad launch, mishifted or let of the gas early. My .2c
Here is a little appetizer for you:
http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/...t/viewall.html
Here is another video to back it up. As you can see, it equals the C63:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uDP7Pty8 ... r_embedded
To make matters worst, the Boss 302 probably outhandles the C63 at the road course. Remember, it already beats the M-3.

Former Vendor of MBWorld
Reminds of of the Car and Driver magazine I read the other day of them comparing which is the better $50k car right now, either an 06 E63 or '11 Challenger, or something like that.
American engines do have a nice sound to them, I must admit.

Mark down another kill for the AMG's! Nicely done.
I do respect the GT500 though, those things are monsters.

Mustangs getting faster and faster by the year. First they compare the GT vs an M3 and now they got the Boss 302 in addition to the GT500 +.
Luckily AMG and BMW M have their upcoming 63 AMGs and new V8 Twin turbos to keep the gap wider.

The Boss 302 Laguna Seca is a great all around performer. I would never consider replacing my AMG with one but I would certainly allow it to share the garage. I had a chance to run with one at Roebling Road and ride along as a passenger. The Mustang was stock except for the R6's and it was just as fast as my car at 1:22 per lap. It pulled very hard down the straight away and the chassis was more settled than my car during full braking. You are getting a huge amount of performance for under $50K if you can live without the AMG refinement. Tuned or P31 C63's should still be able to show their taillights to the Mustang in most street encounters.

According to Motor Trend the Boss is a 0-60 in 4 seconds and a 12.3 at 114 stock. The C63 is a 0-60 in 4.3 and a 12.6 at 112 stock.

3.9? Yeah... not gonna happen with an auto on street tires.
My best 0-60 on drags with a tune was 3.58
Real word, the Boss 302 is quicker to 60 and faster than a C63 stock in the 1/4. Of course DA and dirver conditions apply but when you have the same conditions and drivers the Boss is quicker. Is has the same HP as the C63 and weighs about 300-400 pounds less.
I love my C63 too but lets not let that cloud our vision.

I dunno maybe they just made it up and printed it...I know what I read though...
I know what Car and Driver prints. They are always way under or way over. Makes me wonder if they just get paid off to post the numbers they do.
I would have to say even but faster?...maybe but just by a hair...(0-60)...you're not going to tell that car is going to win from a roll.....I would have to disagree....
Street racing has so many factors and when you add the stick element and a bad driver the C63 will win. Put someone behind the wheel who can drive one though and the C63 will lose. From a roll I agree the C63 will pull and win to 160 no question.
I'm not....I know what I have beaten on the road.....maybe I was asleep at the wheel brother....
I believe everything you say happened. Im not calling you a liar at all. There will always be variables. A kill is a kill. If the driver causes the kill its still a kill. I was just talking about pure performance in equal conditions.

Seriously, why do when people post up kill stories... you always have people saying.. "oh, the other drivers must miss shifted..", "oh, look at this link/review/magazine, our cars are not actually as fast you think..."
Instead of congrats the poster, i always see bs about dissing our own cars.
Come the fk on guys, the OP beat a 302. GREAT!! why rain on someone's parade.

The November issue of Evo magazine has a comparison test with the C63 Coupe, Boss 302, M3 and RS5. Tested on the same day under the same conditions with the same drivers, the C63 beat the Boss:
1/4 mile - C63 12.9 @ 113.1, Boss 13.0 @ 112.5
0-120 - C63 14.5, Boss 15.8
1/4 mile - C63 12.9 @ 113.1, Boss 13.0 @ 112.5
0-120 - C63 14.5, Boss 15.8
