Nitto Invo or Michelin Pilot sport Cup

which is better in terms of grip and acceleration. Which tire has better traction?

Not even comparable tires. I had Invo's on an Infiniti G37 coupe and the grip was disappointing. They are quiet and decent for the street but there are much better options. The Pilot Sport Cups are essentially track tires with insane grip, short life and bad rain traction. A more comparable tire to the Invo would be the Pilot Super Sports and it is head and shoulder's better havign owned both.

I've had Nitto NT05's on a C63 and they are awesome. Dry grip is superb, only average in wet. After the tire is half used, tire noise increases and wet grip is mostly gone. A new NT05 only has about 6/10 ths tread depth to start. I know you were asking about the Invo's, but I thought I'd throw out my experience with the NT05, since it is a more comparable tire to the Michelin. Really, the NT05R is the Nitto you would be comparing to the Cup tire probably.

Agreed both are very different tires. The Invo is more of a daily use with some decent wet road ability. The pilot's..well be sure to drive that 6.3 nice and easy when it rains. As for dry the Pilots are INSANE at dry toad use. They also wear very fast

Sport Cups are heavily biased towards track duty rather than street practicality. Nitto NT-01's are a more direct comparison. I can't imagine that any public road situation would give you the opportunity to utilize the performance threshold for either of these. Plenty of other choices that have much of the same potential but with better street attributes such as:

RE-11
PSS
Star Specs
NT-05

Sure there are more as well.

I had invos on my evo x and had same size nt-05's on my track wheels. To be honest in the street i could not feel a difference it seemed the nt-05's would make dirt stick to them very easy therefore making it a less grippy tire on the street. Invos are great on noise, wet, and dry i def recommend them. As for the pilot sports i had a bad experience with them on my porsche, the sidewall was too soft so if you hit even a small pot hole they would bruise very easy + they wear out almost instantly. For street driving nitto invos are great ive also heard people being very happy with the hankooks.

The Pilot Sport Cup won't have much purpose for daily driving use. If you still want extreme performance capability though, go with the Nitto NT05. I highly recommend them.
