Removing primary cats
I was wondering if anyone has this mod done with stock manifolds replacing the primary cats with high flow cats?
if so any issues CEL light and what are the gains?

Why not replace both primary and secondary cats with a single high flow 200cel cat?
I'd also like to hear how it works, if someone does/did it.

4ramin has headers and 100 cell cats for the street. Not exactly the same but the only person I can think of off the top with replacement primary cats.

He has a tune tho and that will kill the CEL.
You could always send ur ecu in to get the CEL turned off if it comes on.. I doubt it will though.

Jeffield had a custom DP made that removed the primaries and it is LOUD! I think if you type 'Jeffield' in youtube, you may be able to see his vid. I thinnk GT Pro may still have a DP and Fluid Motor Union at one point was flirting with the idea.

I made a straight pipe setup for Superlubricity a few years ago. Before he had long tubes. He had the plm headers though. We put spark plug spacers in for the rear cats and no check engine light. Sounds basically as loud as a header car. We were going to do an x pipe on it but moved on. Look up his thread on this and you can see what was made. They are hanging on my wall at the shop with his old carbon fiber hood.
Power was a little better on the top end but lost torque a little torque on the bottom.
I think the x pipe would have brought the torque back.
