Well, the time is already here - replace all 4 or just rear tires?

The specs of my tires and rims are here:
Shopping for new tires for when the time comes...

I still have about 6/32nds on the front and am nearly all the way down in the rear. Should I buy just the rear tires or go ahead for all four? America's Tire is running a special where I can get a $70 gift card if I get a set of Michelins and they'll give me a $50 credit total for the front two tires (estimated until I can bring it in to check in person).

How much difference does a 5% thickness make in the side of the tires? Michelin doesn't make the sizes I have now so I'd have to go from 235/30/20 in the front to something like a 235/35/20 and 285/25/20 to 285/30/20 in the rear...or 275 something.

What do you guys think?

Go with 245/30/20 and 275/25/20

to thick, 20 inch rims plus that thickness will rub. combines with the fact that your choosing to widen up to 285 ...
I_am_Jeff's numbers should be your limit

So at this point, you both would rather just get all 4 now rather than just the rear?

I would order 2 sets of rears if your fronts are still in good condition. You might go through 2 sets of rears before your fronts go away. By then you'll be due for 4 new ones.

I work at America's tire haha, what do your rears look like? Any noticeable cracking, splitting?

No cracking or splitting...it's just almost bald. I guess that trip down to SD and back took a toll. And some "spirited" driving didn't help

Hahaha always the best. Well if your ever interested I'm running continental extreme contacts on my car and they've been nothing but joy, and if you buy 4 you get a free nook e-book thing lol. I would say go all 4, better to be safe then running on bald tires, I've seen some real bad blowouts lol
