So I have Toyo T1-R 235/30/20 in the front and Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta 285/25/20 in the rear.

I called a local tire shop and they said that the only manufacturers that can fit those tires now are Falken (FK 452), Hankook (Ventus V12 evo), and Nitto (INVO).

1. Does any one have any experience with these brands?

2. Should I try one of these as a matched set or mix it up like they are now? TireRack.com doesn't offer a matched set of any brand and don't even carry the Toyo or Vred tires in these sizes, neither does Discount Tire. I've heard good things about the Michelin Super Sports but they only offer a size that will fit the rear.

3. Is there a vendor I should try to get the same tires I have now? Or should I try a slightly different front tire size since 235/30/20 isn't common?

Toyo T1-R's are discontinued by the way. I just ordered a set of the rears but if i destroy one I might be SOL.

Okay, doing more research, I figured out that my front rims are 20x8.5 and the rear rims are 20x9.5. If the current front tires are 235/30/20, would there be a huge difference if I switched to a 255 sized tire? Or what's the threshold I should be willing to play with for this size rim? I should be okay with a 245/30/20 right?

Thanks for a proper response. How much leeway is there in tire size for rims? 20mms? I'm not used to having to get so technical about tires so I'm really trying to balance the spec of the tire to the rim size and there isn't a huge about of info out there.

My dad runs 245's on the front 275's on the rear with pilot super sports on OEM wheels. they have no rubbing issues.

How does the like the Michelins? What was the running before?

What are you wheel offsets? And are you lowered... For the most part the 245/30 20's should be find depending on the aggressiveness on the wheels

They have significantly more grip and improved the handling and drivability of the car. it is controllable with ESP off even in first gear now. He was running the OEM Continentals that are included in P31 package before the PSS's. @ James@ACGSD, Can you repair the carbon fiber on a front bumper from being dinged up or not?

The Hankook EVO V12's are great tires for the money.
Cant go wrong with those.

Yea you can still get them if they're stocked, but I don't think they are making them anymore. I just ordered two 275/30/19's for my Modulare M14s. Hopefully I don't destroy one next year when noone has them anymore.

Value is their only saving grace I have to say. That and the fact that they ride well but that cushy ride comes at a serious cost of high speed cornering confidence. They might be serviceable for some owners but I can't wait to get rid of mine.

I have no idea. Rob @ Vivid didn't get that info from HRE so he's checking for me.

They're lowered on H&Rs. Right now, I'm rubbing slightly in the rear with 285s but that's because California roads are crappy. I'm thinking 275 would work a little better, so 245 in the front, 275 in the rear?

Regardless of what tyres you fit, I would not run different brands of tyres (F/R) on a car like the C63.

Thanks. I wasn't planning on mixing brands and Rob @ Vivid wasn't either. They just didn't have Toyos for the rear so he went with Vreds at the time.

No worries, I will probably face this issue myself when the Advan (MO) rears wear out.....hopefully, I'll be able to replace them with the same tyre.
I was wondering what the "M.O." meant.....can't remember how I found out...but I believe it stands for "Mercedes Original", so those are the Advans I'd want.

You should be able to get (MO) in Pirelli PZero or Continental 5P as well to give a few more choices if you like. Most people like to go up a size or two and to a tire they like better or gives greater tread life. That is why you see a lot of cars with mix and match tires because the fronts last at least twice as long as the rears. Not the best idea to my mind but a lot of owners seem to get by with mismatched pairs of tires or with all seasons for greater tread life.

Ended up with Conti Extreme Contact DW's so I now have two Toyo T1-R 245/35/19 sitting around.

If anyone needs two to match rears PM me. I'll sell them cheap if you come get them in NNJ.

I'm not sure about "sticky" but I was going to get a matched set of Michelin Super Sports after my new rear tires and front tires wear down. I've only heard great things about them and I believe they come in a 265.

Why can't you run 275s?

Had a rubbing issue with my 275's, car's pretty low, plus I have spacers.

I have new PSS' in the front, but want something else for the rears

There are too many to list.

Hankook RS-3, Nitto NT05, Toyo R888, Dunlop Direzza Star Spec, Bridgestone RE-11, Michelin Sport Cups, etc....

For street use id recomend Nitto NT05.
