Snow Driving
I was wondering who drives their C63 in snow? I live in northern Indiana (South Bend) and we get a good amount of snow and I plan to power through it.
If you do what are your setups? Tires, added weight, ect.
Thanks,
Donny
Ps I did not search to see if it was a past topic. I'm lazy, get over it.

I do. Bridgestone Blizzak LM-60 on all four, Ran other performance winter tires on other cars (my M3s) and they were scary... get good tires suited for real winter and not just cold/dry pavement and you will be fine.

I am from Chicago and used to go to school in Valparaiso (just graduated!!) I had Dunlop 3D's on my car and she drove just fine, even with mods. C63's drive great in snow as long as they have snow tires, just don't go near the throttle to hard or else

Snow is fun.. in parking lots
That said, I ran the Conti DWS all seasons this past winter in DC/MD/VA area. I will probably not do that again, while they work fine in light snow and freezing temps if you drive very carefully, they do tend to spin the wheels sometimes when pulling away from lights on an incline, which causes premature wear.
My plan for next winter is snow tires on my stock rims, and summer tires for this season when I get (if I get approval from wife) to purchase new wheels.

The car came with a brand new set of Blizzaks. I have only had 4wd trucks to this point which are tanks. I just wanted to be sure I didn't need to start looking for a winter beater. Thanks for your input Gents.

I went to Valpo for my freshman year in 2002/2003 before I transferred to IU Bloomington. I did always miss that place after I left.

You will need to weigh the trunk down abit, buy 4 or 5 bags of cat litter or road salt, added weight, and you can use it to get out of snowed in parking spots.

absolutely. Ijust amazing. I put a 50 lb sand bag in the trunk and it helps a lot. not too bad for a 4$ mod. it actually halps whit lauches on dry pavement to in the springtime.
