Recommend me a spark plug

So I'm at 60k miles now and I want to replace my spark plugs.

Which one should I buy? Stick with OEM?

Does anyone have the partnum? So I can buy it online for cheaper?

Go OEM

The NGK part number is listed in your owners manual. It is not an MB part number.

Thanks for the DIY, what about a good place to buy them? Or local stealership?

type in the number into google shopping. You should get plenty of choices.

Awesome write up. Subscribed to the thread.

Most auto parts store should carry NGK spark plugs. NGK plugs are well engineered and made IMO.

Well I am posting this because although I am a big proponent of RTM (=Read The Manual), I was looking at a 2011 E Manual with no mention of the NGK part number. So no mor eholding out.

NGK’s ILZKAR7A10 iridium spark plug has been chosen for OE fitment to the 365kW, 6.3-litre V8 power unit developed by AMG for use in high-performance derivatives of Mercedes models. In this case, the main requirement was for the slimmest possible spark plug with sufficient performance, in order to leave as much space as possible in the cylinder heads for both valves and coolant passages. To satisfy this need, NGK developed this new plug with a 12mm thread, but a 14mm hexagon and a slimmer ceramic insulator. The length remains 26.5mm.

Colder plugs aren't really needed unless you have headers or a blower. IDK, but maybe you lose some power on a stock setup, or more chance of a fouled plug?? The colder plug is to prevent pre ignition in a more robust environment from the power adder.

Well I have a tune and cat/res delete. I recently had a cel. I didn't pull the code but went away on restart. So I assume it's a misfire.

With the way I drive this car in Houston 100+ heat I guess colder plugs should be ok.

I don't think the OP install them. There's another thread of him/her selling them.

Thank you for the write up!
I went ahead and did my plugs with your thread. I used OEM plugs and car car does feel snappier. Thank you again. FYI I ordered green filters and plan on heading to the Dyno soon for some numbers.
