Almost got my hands on a C63 BS alloc
I had one secured, and then just found out this morning that due to a miscommunication between the sales guy and their inventory manager, it was never committed to me and all their allocs are gone for the year. Didn't post about it because I was trying not to get my hopes up. *sigh*
If anyone hears of an available alloc, please PM me.
My original spec was as follows (yes, I decided to not go with the Aero pkg anymore):
MY2013 C63 AMG Coupe Black Series
P98 Black Series Package
799 Diamond White
224 4-Seat Configuration
752 19" Forged Matte Black Wheels
773 Exterior Carbon Fiber Package
B25 Track Package
255 AMG Performance Media
120 AMG Illuminated Door Sills

And, I just reached out to the General Manager in hopes that he can work something out to resolve this. I turned down an opportunity at other dealerships because I thought I was done. :\

Came across one. Obs Black. Illuminated Door Sills. Chrome door handles (Eh? Argh. I don't want this accessory).
So now I'm trying to decide if I would be disappointed when I finally get it, if it's not White, doesn't have the Track Pkg, Exterior CF Pkg, or the Performance Media. Wheels I can always deal with aftermarket...
Or would I just be so thrilled that I finally got a BS that I won't remember the options I wanted but didn't get.

Going aftermarket to get what you would have order from the factory can add up fast. It all depends on how fussy you are.

Everything else, I'd just have to live without those options. My other option is to *not* get a BS and just move on. I'm not sure I'm ready for that decision yet.

For a Black I would wait until the next MY. Only if my heart was set on it. Otherwise I would just order a coupe with the PP. The markup on the Black will get you some nice go fast parts.

That's the thing, there won't be another MY. MY2013 got an extra allocation of 27 cars, and that's it. No more.

Saw one yesterday at House of Imports in Buena Park. Matte Black. Someone told me it was being prepped for the showroom, according to him they just got it this week, and it has not been spoken for yet.

Thanks for the replies, folks, it really helped. I've pulled the trigger on the inbound one that has virtually no options. A BS is a BS, and in the end, you're all right, I will be so thrilled driving it that I won't think about the missing options.
(And yes, the diff cooler can be added by the dealership, as I understand it.)
October delivery.

According to my sales guy there (the same one who's responsible for my deal falling through), that one sold this morning.

The key is to be patient and open minded because in case one does become available it may not be configured the way you wanted it. Also stay in constant contact with the dealerships around your area and check in with them often in case anything pops up.

Oddly enough, I was successfully convinced earlier today that I didn't need all those other options I wanted anyway. Ultimately, what I really wanted was a C63 AMG Black Series, brand new, for me to break in.
This gets me that. And I save some money on options I didn't need in the first place.
(Managing to turn today's miserable news into something positive.)

Yeah, we definitely need more AMG events up in NorCal. Not a lot of us AMG owners up here, but still, we should do something. (M is much more popular in NorCal.)

Yeah, I've been a little lax trying to organize something, but there is that event in Pleasanton on Aug 10th (that BoKnows told me about). Supposedly 2,000 people showed up last year with all sorts of cars. If you want to help me put something together, I'd welcome it!

I am glad you were able to get one of the additional MY2013 allocations. I found that after I received my car (sans one of the options I had ordered), what was missing was overwhelmed by all that the BS offered (many of which I did not expect). I think you will soon share this wonderful pride of ownership.

Thanks. Looking forward to it. October's not too far away.
