Need help and advice - my lease is almost up...
Hey guys
So my lease on the c63 will come to maturity on 12/1/12...I would like to buy the car, and called MB Financial, who said that they weren't offering any breaks on my car regarding the residual value (my parents have bought and leased several new Mercedes and this is my second, though I bought the first)....my parents have gotten incentives to buy the car, but they haven't had an AMG model...is this why Mercedes won't budge on it?
Is it because the C63s are rare and they can make some more money on it?
I wanted to know if there was any insider info/help as far as special financing or deals that I can ask them about or bring up. They did mention that if I take it to the dealer and have them make the car a CPO (certified pre-owned) Mercedes, that this might drop the financing rate down. They said other than that, it was like 3.49% or something, which is high in my opinion.
Thanks in advance for looking and the help!
This is my first lease, so thought I'd try to get some advice ahead of time.

Mercedes wants your car back because your residual is way lower than the street value of the car. Mercedes can easily make $6-8k over your residual selling your car as a CPO, depending on Mileage and Condition.
They're not goin to incent you to buy is cuz they are goin to make a killing selling it

This has come up a lot at work lately, used car values are up and more and more people who thought that MBF would come to the table willing to negotiate are a little upset like the OP when they give them the take it or leave it line. To the OP, if the residual value is in line if not a little below market average on a like model car and you really want it, then buy it out and find your own financing. If not take the MBF loan and re-fi it when you find terms to your liking.

Figured....how much would a 2009 in pristine shape go for? All services done on time...about 30k miles....no crashes/clean records....one owner? All options except for the AMG Perf package BTW...

My lease is up soon as well, 1/13/13 & I too plan on buying the car outright from MBF. They called already to see what my plan is & sent me a nice booklet too. Knowing my buy back & checking to see what some are selling for, it appears my buy back is a good deal so ya I doubt they would negotiate.
For reference, mine is a Canadian 2010 C63 with premium pkg & P31 PP, no LSD, everything else is grouped in with the premium pkg. 3 year / 54,000 km lease, I should end up with about 42,000 km's & my buy back is $41,500 Canadian

My buy back is about $32K
But I'm pretty pissed I haven't gotten a phone call, any info, deals....I mean....wtf...I had to call them. I didn't realize I financed with Nissan Financial....customer service is expected with a Mercedes...could you pm me any info that might help from that booklet even though I'm in the US?

You live in the bay area...your car is a dime a dozen and they don't need to crawl to you. There so many people with money there that they crap C63s in the morning after their coffee. If you can't pay what they are asking there is another UCSF or SFSU or Stanford student that will buy it and drive to organic chem the next day...

You can finance here cheap (double check the used car loan rate).
