Opinions Please - Gloss or Matte Wrap
So I'm going to put my car in this week for a wrap (managed to clear my speeding fines so now have approval from the police for the color change).
After a lot of thinking and viewing different cars and photos, I've narrowed down my choice to matte purple or gloss purple. Photos attached. Really at the moment can't decide between the two. What do you all think would look best? I might be leaning towards gloss
If you do have another color in mind that you think would totally shock, please do share photos! THANKS
I think my project is almost complete

None of the above.. Keep it stock & clean! Lol
Well, not feeling the color it reminds me of those local kids with their wild color Hondas, just my opinion though.

Thanks guys.
Roswell. I hear you. I've thought about it a lot. Was actually thinking of a wrap a few months back then changed my mind. Have found a place that I do business with that has offered me the full wrap for $900. That's with a 3 year guarantee on the quality and worskmanship and a 5 year guarantee on the color and material.
I live in Dubai where supercars and hypercars are a dime a dozen and I just wanted to be a little different. I'm trying to find something that's somewhat tasteful and not too loud. Electric blue was another option. Decisions, decisions.

I get where you are coming from, here in the Middle East it's hard to be unique at times since a lot of the same cars are around. That matte purple is so famous these days but the gloss is rare in my opinion. Did you check with the shop if they have carbon fiber wraps? You might like that.
Edit: Check this out

Hello N91K, where are you from?
The shop just received today excellent carbon fiber wraps (exactly like real carbon fiber) in black, grey, blue and red. Quality was amazing but I personally think carbon fiber foil looks a bit cheap.
I am now thinking gloss purple as you're right about matte. Especially in Dubai. There's so many matte cars now.

Ahhh, Yes. It's gloss. I want something totally unique that hasn't been done before but that doesn't look so loud and too much and make my car look cheap. Am confused.

I guess you should search more and look at pics or any cars around town that pop, it'll make you decide, good luck.

Man, those colors are fugly. Especially the matte. Come on now, just because people around you have no class when it comes to "pimping their rides" doesn't mean you have to follow suit.
If you want something unique, mock it up as a pace car:

Mercedes C63 amg, Bmw X5,
Man I respect your decision and I know the car is yours, but gloss purple AMG? Come on bro its a travesty. You got a silver color that looks amazing, but if want a change why dont you go for mattes silver or if you want "different" then at least go with something like French blue (there are pics of a C63 BS on the forum, u can find them by searching this section). Anyway good luck with deciding on a nice looking color! I just hope you drop the purple:-)

900 bux for a wrap???
I'd be concerned man....
I currently have a car wrapped in a flat color and really like it, evenn though it's getting ready
to come off, it's still cooler than gloss.....
don't you see gloss everyday? go for something different...
but FYI: 900 seems pretty cheap

So I've decided to keep it as is based on the info on here.
Hyperion, it is indeed a very good price but out here labor is extremely cheap. Probably 20 - 25% of labor charges in the US.
Loving the orange E63. Props
Today I put a black gloss on the roof.
If I do go for a wrap, it will be a dark matte silver or light matte grey. For now I will continue to focus on other areas of the car.

Thanks Djovovic63,
I'm going to get a Brabus Grille, finish off the boot badging (still undecided what to go for) and do the secondary cat delete to compliment the resonator delete and get an OE Tuning tune. For now that will be it.
Got the headlights tinted yesterday and the rear lights tinted as well. Both with 10%. Photos below

Great job on the mods! Goodbye eggplant, hello Wusthof.
P.S. Yes, SoCal is short for Southern California (the Dubai of America: crappy government, but tons of flashy cars)
