Nice job on the wheels.
Any idea how durable such modified barrells are?

Believe it or not they were perfectly balanced and straight. The guy at the wheel shop was amazed and quite frankly so was I. They do them for road racing and drag racing so I assume they are extremely durable. We will find out.

Thank you! Its been quite the project but its coming to an end.
Tires in the rear are 345-30 19.
I have 10mm spacers on the rear now. Will try some 15mm tomorrow.
I really like the wing but the brackets will require some modifications because apparently the BS trunk is different than the earlier sedans. Oh well, just one more thing to do

Only other pic I took. I'll take more tomorrow when it's actually bolted down.

Since you got the wing, you have any plans for the front end to balance the added downforce? How's the quality of the wing, i.e., is it exactly like the OEM, adjustable? Maybe I have to pick one up now....Certainly a lot cheaper than the 10K option price. Well done sir!

The quality seems good and yes it is adjustable. Its a nice addition.
I don't know how much hard road racing you guys have done but these cars eat up the front tires. I am hoping to even out some of that problem. The wing only effects things at high speeds so I don't think I will need additional down force on the front with the BS front bumper already. If I see the need then I'll add the front canards but I really can't see needing them but who knows.

Keith, if you had started on a Black Series and didn't have to do the axles, etc. what do you think the final cost would be? I'm hearing ~$13k?

I'll have better photos tomorrow when she's out of the body shop.
They are finishing the trunk. The brackets for the BS don't fit the sedan trunk. Had to make some trunk modifications.

Calling all performance and track enthusiast, especially if you have a wide body conversion:
I am asking this question inside this thread so you know what it takes to make the conversion.
"IF" they total my car, which I have been told multiple times they will I wanted to know if anyone wants the new carbon fiber brakes I just installed??? This thread explains what the conversion takes besides just the brakes themselves. I've got about $20,000 in the brakes and R&D alone and will take it all off, replace them with stock brakes and sell these if anyone wants to convert theirs???

I don't have pricing from the dealership yet on the replacement parts but I will sell the new CC calipers, rotors, spacers, and pads for about half what they will cost you. I would estimate I will be able to sell the CC brakes for around $10,000 and that should cover the replacement parts I have to buy as well.
Yes, they will require new wheels and if you want the black series wheels I'll negotiate them as well. Remember the rear requires new heavier duty (E series) axles($700 each), (E)wheel carriers($500 each), (E)hubs, and (E)EB components but even including those you'll be way ahead. Again, I have wheels that will work on the rear but you'll need a wide body kit.

PLEASE let me know asap as I am meeting the adjuster today. I'm not buying stock brakes, paying the shop to exchange them if no one is interested. I know its a chunk of change but if you track the car or just want CC brakes this is your chance at 1/2 the price and all the R&D that went in to putting them on a "C".

I will also be selling the Boca rear BS wing if you are interested but again, it takes some trunk modifications.

Those brake calipers would look great on you conversion I guess. Btw. very well done. Good job.

I ask myself if this conversion is possible on a W209 CLK.

CLS 350
CC Front Brake Disc W212 - 7,9kg
AMG Front Steel Brake Disc W212 - 13,8

~42% less weight

This information is more or less approved for the brake discs.

Calipers may have the same weight.
