They're going to need one hell of a hood.

From what I see on the first pic they are using the stock hood.

Nice job Jimmy
This car was already a beast in its previous setup. Now it's going to be a real killer.

Guys, I've a question. Is the cost of this which must be over $25,000 really worth the cost? Is it going to really do much more than a tuned C63 with headers and filters?

I agree with this. You can make the same power even without the headers with an aggressive tune. How much gain will you really get above the 6.2l in the C63?

The only way I would say its worth it is if the tranny is also bolted up and your going to SC it. Those forged internals and the SLS cam would really do well with a SCed C63 and the SLS tranny.

2013 Fiat Abarth
you can change the internals+headers+exhaust+tune .. that will easily put you at 600-650 hp, which is more than the SLS

If you want to stay N/A and add headers and a tune this will be a monster. The SLS engine is built for higher RPM usage and will work great road racing which is what its made for. CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!!!
I believe a well tuned SLS with L/T headers/exhaust is mid 500's RWHP which is well above what we have.

I didnt think it was that much of a difference. Without the tranny though I would save my money.

It's a project which causes a lot of attention and that is what they were going for.
All of the labor is in-house so it's "free". They already had the C63 as their daily driver.
So the only cost was the engine itself which was probably bought used.

I think I like the idea of the intake swap only.

Pair that with SLS cams and some LTH's and let that thing breathe!
