I also had the 18 in stock wheels with Pirelli P-Zero tires, MBH setup with headers 3 in pipes and x-pipe and cat deletes.

Our cars are porky little pigs, but lovable. Mfgrs cannot do "light." Partly because of FED reg, partly sound , NVH, and a circus of electronic gadgets, partly because the c63 is Mercedes and must be trainlike on the autobahn.

Corvette does a good job, now with dry carbon, but still exceeds 3000 lbs. Audi brags year to year and even resorts to aluminum frames with fat increasing to over 4000 lbs. Even Lotus gave up the one ton barrier. Alpha promised their new 1800 cc wonder to be under 2000 lbs and it is already over before production. The C 63 aluminum hood is wasted (though lovely) for the ?20 lb savings.

Even Mc Claren's newest is a porker. To make 'em fly takes more and more HP so turbos are the rage again. Something's got to give.

LTH with full 3" race exhaust with X-pipe and NO mufflers or cats. (-35#)
Full BS body(with BS wing) with full size BS wheels and tires. (the BS wheels are lighter)
1/4 tank of gas
No spare or jack or tool kit.
No driver = 3650#

With Drag race wheels and tires its under 3600#.
With the 12# Braille battery its close to 3500#.

Yes, I was in it when he weighed. I wanted to give track numbers based on total weight so never thought about weighing just the car itself at the time.
