ECU tuning question
Just bought a slightly used C63 Coupe yesterday. Is there any way to determine whether it has a tune WITHOUT doing the following?
1. See if it runs past the stock 155 mph speed limiter
2. Pull ECU and send to a tuner to check
3. Go to a dealer and have them check
4. Dyno test
5. Quarter mile run
Thanks for any insight.

I'd stay the hell away from (3) IMHO.
what about doing a quick pull with a local 2012+ C63? a quick 20mph-100mph won't take long at all and is still safe to do.

i don't really see a way to find out unless you can track down the previous owner...
it seems like you're looking for a safe and free way to find out... which rules out racing another c63... even if you were to find a c63 to race, it would need to have the same options as yours... the performance package is especially important...

I'm basically asking if there are any visual indicators (display options, broken ecu harness clips, etc..) that would indicate a tune had been done. I plan to run it down the track eventually, but I want to have a dealer check it out first. I don't want them to stumble on a pre-existing tune and void the remaining warranty.
