engine knock? when cold
Hello,
difficult to describe this but i think its an engine knock when the car is not at normal operating temperatures. When reving to between 3-4 k while driving, i feel a weird pulsating feeling throughout the car. it goes away when its warm. it happenes for the first 5 minutes of driving, engine NOT completely cold
I am using higher quality 94octane gas, if that makes a difference
any suggestions?

I would guess the pulsating is a mental thing because of the noise you first hear which I would also guess is a lifter.
Did the car sit for a bit between drives when you heard it? One time thing or occurs every time?

I use to have that noise on my car as well, it is typically the valvetrain and lifters making the noise when the oil is cold. Typically the noise goes away on its own.

yeah but when im driving it feels like a misfire. ill take it in to see if they can read any codes. feels like either bad spark plugs or transmission problem or bad gas

^ Could be any combination. A misfire code would trigger a CEL though. Probably not a tranny issue. Bad gas, maybe. Spark plugs at 6000km, doubtful.
